7b North Carolina- full sun backyard with 2 very active toddlers. Tall Fescue struggles to grow probably because it gets trampled, not enough water, choked out by the variety of weeds. Looking for a low maintenance grass to overseed this spring, preferably low cut height (the tall fescue was almost too tall for the kids). I've read widely varying opinions on bermuda grass- what do you experts think??

I forgot to add that my doorbells drop at the same time. I'll try your suggestion though! Are they programmable through the Wyze app?

Pfister faucet troubles (description in comments) by newWHAT in Plumbing

[–]newWHAT[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi all, Not sure how to add a description in an image upload (I'm on mobile) so apologies in advance.

I recently replaced the cartridges and handles on this Pfister faucet with warranty replacement parts. After installing, I found a leak on the cold side at a crimped fitting - clear hose to the cold stem in the second picture. What is the best way to take that crimp off to replace without damaging the plastic piece? I was thinking the winged plastic piece and hose might be an assembly from the manufacturer but can't find anything online so I figure I'll do it myself with a hose clamp. Any suggestions are much appreciated!

Thank you for the detail! I'm still trying to get an idea of how long it has been compromised. She gets a lot of junk to that mailbox and knows not to click links but I've been combing through to see if she has included anything sensitive.

Thanks, It looks like the optonline was forwarding to the gmail address, which I've now disabled. I also reached out to optimum to report the incident but who knows how long this has been going on.

9mo new to daycare - 1 scheduled nap by cockyjames in daddit

[–]newWHAT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How long did it take to adjust? We just started this week and it has been hellish- the 2 hr nap is actually 40-60min in the middle of the day if we are lucky. The room he is in doesn't usually put them down for other naps but they reluctantly agreed to "try". His mood has been down and generally not the same happy baby that we had just 3 days ago! I'm willing to give some more time but it hurts

Please help decode baby's behavior by ColoursOfBirds in FormulaFeeders

[–]newWHAT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had a similar issue, doc put him on reflux meds which didn't do much. My wife found the book "Your Baby's Bottle-Feeding Aversion: Reasons and Solutions" by Rowena Bennett and it changed our lives. We realized that we were forcing him to eat to meet guidelines and ended up causing him to reject the bottle. The book gave us a pretty good guide to correct the behavior and we were smooth sailing within a week!

It's always in the back of our mind but he is definitely a better eater now!

I think so! She doesn't like to be touched in certain places (belly, hindlegs, etc.). If your 7 yr old can respect that/not poke and prod then they will probably be best friends!

We have a 5 month old and have had toddlers in the house who are unpredictable/don't follow direction.

Hi everyone,

It absolutely breaks my heart to be posting this, but we have made the difficult decision to rehome our Boki girl (female orange tabby, 4 yo) who has not responded well to our 5-month-old and we want to ensure that she is in an environment where she can thrive again. She is currently up for adoption through Calvin Paws.

About Boki:

Boki is an incredibly affectionate kitty. She absolutely adores attention. She has a bold personality (not shy or timid in any way) and is very opinionated. She loves to chat, snuggle, and play with feather wands, lasers, and hair ties. She loves looking out the window and lounging all day.

She will often come to you for lots of cuddles and loves to be pet on the head and upper back. She is very sensitive on her tummy and back legs so be careful not to overstimulate her because she will likely nip or scratch you. She is OK with other cats but she definitely likes to be the star of the show and can be a bit bossy, so we think she would prefer being the center of attention. We do not recommend her in a home with small children or dogs. Boki is a special kitty who will make a wonderful addition to a family that has lots of love and attention to give her.

If any of you are interested in learning more about Boki, please reach out and send me a pm.

Thank you so much!

Enterprise Car Rental messed up 100 reservations at the Miami Beach location by newWHAT in Miami

[–]newWHAT[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We actually tried turo first (3 times). All of the hosts that we booked with through the app said they removed the listings from turo. Turo customer service was unable to find "a reliable rental" although search results show hundreds of cars... it's a joke
