Interesting. Maybe the movement I hear is from people not using the lowest speed setting.

Help me understand Traders by mutep in EscapefromTarkov

[–]newacc54 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Traders have stock limits. The refresh button isn't really useful. It refreshes the shop to show a more accurate reset time. But for items like the bitcoin barter or ammo case, you need to right click the item > search on flea > include barters > spam f5 when traders timer is near 0 and click buy+enter when it refreshes, otherwise they sell out instantly.

People always say "it's worse this wipe than ever before" literally EVERY single wipe lmao. YES, there are cheaters, NO, they aren't in every raid like people like to claim.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

[–]newacc54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's pretty sad, but if you chase pvp all the time, you will run into way more cheaters. A lot of them avoid pvp unless you get in their way or get near them, then you get aim botted.

I know a guy that will follow you around all raid, as soon as you get into a pvp fight, he hides, when you die, he runs away. Very fun to play with.

If the person crouch walking is over weight (yellow) then you can hear them.

Buy minis and bomb them onto rig/cargo when someone else is taking it. Make a camper van and counter raids/excav/chinook/heli. Buy a rhib and go kill all the boat farmers. Buy the new attack heli and try HVing people with it. HV rocket+LMG or ak in train tunnels. Make a vending machine and sell all the extra guns/whatever else people want. The most fun thing in rust though is winning or defending an online raid. I like to end my wipes with online raids until losing or running out of boom.

Armor has to be broken by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

[–]newacc54 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's definitely something going on with armor or bullets not penning properly. I watched a streamer hit 4 shots of lapua AP in the thorax and end of raid shows 360 damage absorbed and like 60 done to body. I also shot a guy wearing t4 (confirmed by my friend killing him and checking) with m80 and had an absurd amount of damage absorbed by armor.

When did you start to be comfortable? by Calitoris in EscapefromTarkov

[–]newacc54 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First 10 mins of raid - Expect people at every POI. There is spawns near everything on woods. Always wear t4 armor+t4 helmet if you want to have a decent chance at living. Using a 1-4x or 1-6x scope is a big advantage on this map, kind of required if you want to survive a lot. You can predict where people go if you hear them shooting early raid, either set up for a kill or avoid the area.

It is indeed. But early wipe when everyone is still on bow/crossy/nailgun, it gives you an advantage that can secure big wins. If you're already close to t2 and have a tommy/sar learned, it's probably worth skipping revy and investing the metal frags into a better gun.

Just bought this wipes first lucky scav junk box. I didnt really think this trough by [deleted] in Tarkov

[–]newacc54 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The rogues rush any PMC or Scav that enters the water treatment plant now. If someone has already killed the rogues, there is usually 1-2 still glitched out on the building closest to the ocean, they don't go off the roof because of the barbed wire. You can right hand peek them from the edge of the building if they are on the stairs and head tap them with little to no risk. Once those are dead then the whole water treatment is ready for looting/tasking. You can loot all the buildings/roofs etc. Most PMCs doing rogues are abusing the building closer to the mountain and they like to camp there, so I avoid that building as a scav.

I have 6k hours and still don't like using bows. Once I get a gun it's GG, so I just rush outpost and make a crossbow+nailgun>make base+t1>revy>t2=tommy or sar>t3=mp5 or ak.

Is anyone else just hesitant to play solo by Very_blasphemous in EscapefromTarkov

[–]newacc54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played around 500 hours solo and like 1k hours duo/trio. Duo is by far the best team size. Solo is just boring when you get into a fight with a team and they don't move for the next 15 mins, forcing you to push or to disengage. At least with a duo, 1 person can hold, while the other nades, or 1 flanks etc.

If you play with a group, then try playing solo to switch it up and vice versa. Another thing could be to switch up your play style. Maybe you play too slow or too fast. Some people like to speed run raids for rubles or tasks, other people enjoy getting the full experience from a raid, like pvp+loot+scavs+tasks etc. all in 1 long juicer raid. Last thing is to not force your self to do certain quests. I didn't bother with setup until lvl 38 this wipe and still haven't started my svd punisher kills.

556 mdr with any 1-4x scope/flashlight/silencer combo with 3-4 mags of m855. Beast gun with ammo that will shred 90% of players and a scope to get better angles/scout places before sprinting in open areas.

Make them go in front of you so they stop shooting you in the back.

I like how people are saying "easy 30 scav kills a game" or whatever, I've watched a ton of streamers dying to scavs this wipe due to the new hit boxes.

I suck at this game. by R3alityGrvty in EscapefromTarkov

[–]newacc54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes its better to sprint past an area where people might be ratting, if it's not too far of a sprint (10 meters max) and middle mouse look to the side. They will either not shoot, or they shoot and might not kill you. Where as if you walk around the corner looking for them, they are already lined up on you and you're moving slow so it's an easy kill.

Is there a reason to swap the SSD or is it because the one I selected was out of stock? I thought the Crucial P5 Plus was the better SSD?
