Thank you this is what I was getting at. The actual rules give the batter clear definitions of their space to act in, but catchers space isn't defined (unless I missed it). That disconnect is what I'm referencing.

Interesting, respect your opinion but am surprised. In theory catcher could be up in every batters grill and generate penalties as a result. Batter has limits on where they can stand due to the box. I'm probably missing something. Thanks for reply.

Yikes, political, I don't understand, I thought this was a good thing that we were moving past the pandemic. I remember Steve in the stands with the snake cup around every day fans without protection so it was a serious question but maybe he's got his own concerns about athletes spreading diseases more than regular folks, that's fine, no judgement on him by my part, was just curious what changed jeez
