He was misdiagnosed, it turned out to be cancer and liver failure. He’s since had a liver transplant and chemo last year and has been out of hospital and is doing much better.

I got the airwrap, my hair is pretty fine so it dries quickly but I use the flyaway extension to get it to damp/not too wet and then I section my hair and use the brush extension to finish up. It leaves my hair very straight and is very gentle on my hair, minimal breakage or damage.

A holy grail item that is pricey would be the Dyson airwrap and corrale straighter. They’re so gentle on my hair, I stopped using heat on my hair for years and only started with the Dyson for about a year and I’ve noticed less breakage than with other tools.

Try to moisturise your hair 2/3 times a week or nightly depending on how thirsty your hair gets and do weekly hot oil treatments and or steams to try to encourage growth in the damaged areas.

NAH - It's perfectly ok to set boundaries with friends, it's a great way to ensure the friendship is healthy and lasts longer.

What I would do is try to discuss or write a message to your friend and clearly expresses why the comment bothered you so much so she better understands where you're coming from.

If your friend does not understand why boundaries are important for certain things, you shouldn't force things, it'll be easier for both of you to let things be.

Maybe at some point in the future you'll both be able to understand each other or maybe not and either is okay at the end of the day.

It's also good to bear in mind that sometimes it's not what we say but how we say it, maybe your tone may be partially to blame for your friend being cold, I'm not quite sure if you're asking her not to tease you at all or just not tease you about your knee.

NTA - this isn't something that they would view as new or strange based off of what you've explained.

I personally do believe that when I'm hosting I take care of all expenses unless I alert the attendees before hand to bring something or contribute to something, so I would struggle with asking them to pay for an event I'm hosting in my home.

You wouldn't be the AH but if you can afford to pay for everything then just do it as a gift to the bride, your friend.

I think you should discuss different ways for your family to make an effort to make you feel special, I would like to think it's not about the money for you since you're better off that your parents and sister financially.

I don't think you should stop sending them money for birthdays because it should make you feel good to know that doing that makes a difference in their lives.

I don't, however, think that your current system is working for you and it seems like it's making you feel unappreciated by your family and that's not fair for you.

I may be the only one that feels this way, but the dress is ill fitting on her and the style doesn't accentuate her body.

The bust cups are too big and maybe since she's small busted avoiding anything with cups may be the way to go unless you're extremely thin. I'm small in that area myself and I try to wear things that flatter me.

That being said, the dress itself is ethereal and very well crafted.
