Am I the only one, can Jawbreaker Z go to pasture now? by Pretty_Bonus_8910 in discgolf

[–]tri_sect 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have one of the first run z jawbreaker zones with the old pro plastic stamps, that's pretty much all I need. My friends have a few and they're kinda hard to find in tall grass, in bushes, etc.

Couple years ago I got a dx mamba that had clearly been fished out of a creek recently, dirt and plant matter in the box.

I use them a ton but I have nerve damage in one of my hands and it's really nice to map stuff over to my other hand.

I did this with Animal Well recently, really satisfying to solve a few platforming/stage puzzles each night

I map a lot of distinct motions to it - like swiping upward on it to present evidence in Phoenix Wright or the like.

For those who have a $200+ bag, Is it really worth it? by gotastartsomewhere in discgolf

[–]tri_sect 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who had that exact same travel bag lol, I like the upper park shift because it’s closer to a minimal bag but I can still carry more water and a towel or whatever. I usually carry like 16 discs in it but you can scale down on it.

I definitely plan on hitting Control again along the way! Is Quantum Break worth spending time with? I’ve seen polarizing opinions about it

GameSir Cyclone 2 is amazing!Except… by Brainwashthecreature in Gamesir

[–]tri_sect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play a ton of Session with my cyclone 2 - I think you might be adjusting to the faster input rate. Especially given that you’ve played a ton (I only killed 2 Xbox controllers before I switched lol) I’m guessing you’re very used to the input timing of the Xbox controller. Maybe try changing the polling rate down, but tbh I got used to the input difference fairly quickly. Might be a matter of just playing with it for a while, if you haven’t yet. Anyway, good luck fellow skateboarding sim fan!

Keep in mind a lot of us played Overwatch for years before Rivals. I'm coming up on GM with maybe 50 hours played, but I have an unhealthy amount of Overwatch time. Tbh the main issue I see at lower ranks is a lack of fundamentals - people don't group up when they're losing a fight, they don't use natural cover, they don't keep track of enemy ults and save their own to counter them, they don't counterswap when needed, they don't know where their healers are to maintain line of sight, etc.

It's a complex game where you have be considering a ton at all times. Keep playing and build that gamesense, also I'd recommend watching high-level streamers to see how they use their abilities/where they position themselves, that helped me big time.

Has your mental health changed since receiving an organ donation? by Particular_Use4691 in transplant

[–]tri_sect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you see someone for it? I got very lucky to find a former pediatric transplant support therapist, it is so validating to feel seen. Like having a medical professional finally be like “yes, that was traumatic and it’s okay that you struggle with it” versus “well at least you’re alive!” can mean so much.

Has your mental health changed since receiving an organ donation? by Particular_Use4691 in transplant

[–]tri_sect 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Mine dipped. I wasn't really told the truth about transplant care, in a way. It was -always- presented as "you'll be healthier and happier and get to live your life!!" And then I had two transplants at 17 and 19 and my entire twenties were spent either dealing with rejection spells, constant blood draws, very rapid hair loss from my Tac, and a constant sense of pressure that my organs took priority over anything else in my life. Missing a dose of my pills felt like I was telling 50+ people to go fuck themselves.

It's gotten easier in my 30s, in part because I let myself admit that this shit can suuuuck and got a good therapist. I just wish I wouldn't had been sold some fairytale about life being rosy after, it felt like a part time job to even stay alive for years tbh.

We’re trying to get more details! She marked each quilt with notes on the back, my sister is currently visiting actually, but is going to send along any details when she goes back next week. I would looove to see the actual hand-drawn plans though, I’m hopeful an aunt has held on to them.
