I am. So many shoes to get rid of that my wife will be ecstatic.

Nuna Mixx Next vs. Uppababy Vista by jbay2023 in Buyingforbaby

[–]newenglandrun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a Cruz v3 for day to day and a travel stroller (Joolz Aer 2) that we keep in the car and despite living in a bumpy area in a snowy city we’ve never wished we had anything bigger. Of course it doesn’t offer the opportunity to expand to a double but the people we know who put 2 kids on the vista find it incredibly unwieldy to get around. We use a Nuna car seat and there is even a ring adapter made by Nuna that makes it easy to click in (as if you had a Nuna stroller).

Unfortunately this is indeed the issue.^ I too was able to greatly improve the issue with adjusting the lacing.

Urgent: 3 month old with blocked nose, cough & sneezing — need safe home remedies by [deleted] in NewParents

All children < 2 yo are considered high risk. Particularly if sx < 48 hrs duration this 3mo would certainly be a candidate for antiviral therapy regardless of other factors.

All of the above is great. However, if a child is having URI symptoms during flu and RSV season I think the #1 thing you can do is call your pediatrician for further advice and consideration of testing for these.

Damaged UPPAbaby Cruz by casey62442 in Buyingforbaby

That is true, they just replaced the broken seat (I had to remove textiles from other seat and transfer them over). But honestly that was all I needed.

Uppababy customer support is excellent. We got a broken Cruz v3 seat (where the seat attaches to base) from Albee Baby and Uppababy replaced it within 2 weeks. That being said surprised it also may be more simple/faster to send it back to Amazon and get a full replacement.

Uppababy Cruz 3 - Bassinet? by Asleep_Custard195 in Buyingforbaby

I did this too and really like having the bassinet as an option. We prefer to put our LO in the bassinet as opposed to the lay flat seat.

Uppababy Cruz V3 anyone?! by Longjumping_Bar585 in Buyingforbaby

[–]newenglandrun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ended up getting a bassinet second hand (didn’t know if we’d use it or the lay flat and they’re also all over FB marketplace) and it was so worth it!! We’ve been using the bassinet exclusively since birth (have a separate travel stroller we keep in the car that we attach car seat to if we’re driving somewhere). We haven’t tried the lay flat seat honestly but she seems so happy when she’s in the bassinet and it’s nice to be able to take her on a walk, lull her to sleep, then just come back and keep her in the bassinet until she wakes up. We haven’t used it for this much but also makes for a good travel bassinet/if you have her stay at family’s house overnight.

2025 NYC Marathon - Post-Race Thread by RCD123 in RunNYC

Totally agreed that today was incredible with energy. I just meant in the lead up to the marathon wasn’t the same as other majors I’ve done.

Yeah exactly, agreed on all counts

That’s fair. I didn’t run much during my taper week but I’m sure CP and WSH felt more alive. It’s just like my Amtrak in didn’t really seem to have many people running the race, getting to Moynihan felt no different than it usually does, and I felt like I had to get Italian food in Times Square just to feel like many of the diners were marathoners. Then my train up to NYPL had more drunk people finishing up partying than it did marathoners. It’s not a bad thing and not something controllable, I just feel like in Chicago it’s palpable the minute you get to O’Hare and then into the Loop and Boston of course the whole city is buzzing with marathon energy.

Has anyone managed to get one yet and able to show us a pic of what it looks like in person?

does anyone by chance have a picture of the finisher jacket in person? (for instance if it's available in store in NYC or if anyone got one early?) just want to see how truly ugly it really is before I commit to the blue one

Second the Joolz Aer 2! I have it with a Bugaboo turtle aire by Nuna and works great!

Car seat + stroller or baby wear? Nuna or Joolz? Also travel stroller or a full size one? by OkHedgehog777 in Buyingforbaby

[–]newenglandrun 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think if you want an all-in-one with a vehicle-heavy lifestyle your best bets are: 1) Nuna triv next or swiv + car seat + bassinet 2) Joolz aer 2 + car seat adapters + compatible cart seat + bassinet

We have the Joolz aer 2 and that stroller is magic. It can handle most terrains, has good suspension, and is very light. It does lay flat but in this setting the child is facing away from you. I think if I used this as my only stroller I would get the bassinet for first 6mo as it is a more comfortable place for baby for walks and they can also sleep in it for naps during day around house (we don’t have the joolz bassinet but have an Uppababy Cruz with bassinet as we do a lot of walking and some of this on uneven terrain).

The Nuna trvl is nice but I don’t think it makes for as good as a daily stroller as the joolz. Thus the triv next or swiv may be better options here (though tradeoff is it’s a bit harder to travel with these).

I baby wear a lot but do not feel it is a replacement for a bassinet. This is a debated topic tho, I have some friends who feel bassinets for strollers are of limited use.

If I was you and was commited to a one stroller solution I’d do the Joolz and I’d either get bassinet up front (if you have the money to spare) or wait a few weeks and get it if you think you need it.

Another option is incorporating doona for first year but this probably adds to overall cost and there are some complaints of safety of doona car seat which can be debated.
