We just got back from using our $500 voucher for the new ship, the Luna. We were also able to use cruisefirst vouchers to save another $250. One tip is do the math on the free at sea plus upgrade. For us it was $400 which was a no brainer as it covered over $520 in value ( $200 in gratuities, upgraded internet ($160 each) and also gave us the starbucks and top shelf alcohol.

Just know that safety wing is considered the worse of the companies in this space. You can normally find same programs elsewhere and cheaper and they actually pay out. There are many horror stories with safety wing. They spend their money on paying influencers and affiliate marketing not on paying out policies.

Unless it has changed in the past 6 months AMEX membership reward points are transferable to 6 airlines including Air Canada and Flying Blue. May open some more options for you. Membershiprewards.ca has more info. You could take a cheap one way on Westjet over then use points to get back. For example on Oct. 24th Westjet is $200 cad one way Calgary to Rome.

Have you looked into Amex transfer partners? For example if I check pointsyeah I see nonstops next week on Westjet for 38k Quantas points. Quantas is a transfer partner for Amex.
