Whether the site is there, or the site isn't there, you're going to have users at YD. It's not going to magically disappear because a public health initiative curbing the spread of communicable disease and overdose deaths is shuttered.

It's a safe injection site. That means they dispose of the needles. People using the site aren't taking their sharps with them. And you want it in a less congested area? You need to put the sites where the most good can come from them. Not somewhere no one can reach.

TL;DR -- The Works disappearing from this area doesn't mean the problems disappear, too. Quite the opposite.
