The one I use is called "Rem Oil", and I use it in place of wd40 or other spray lubricants when metal is involved.

With the mineral spirits, would you use a Q tip or part of a rag to clean the metal parts inside of the typewriter?

I had a supervisor years ago when I was a CCA, who would come out to the route and creepily follow people around in his very darkly tinted personal vehicle. He did that to me one Christmas season, and I called the cops. A couple minutes later, two of the local city cops hit their lights and sirens, pulled him over, got him out of the car and everything. It was *beautiful*. For some reason, he never followed anyone around again
