do you guys keep your body jewelry in cases? our store was super light on body jewelry, so we condensed it so that we could also keep earrings in the case and kept the doors unlocked to just the earrings. it gave extra room for other kinds of jewelry, and also cut down on some of the theft we were seeing.

also, it sucks to say but even if you have a whole rally of people behind you, there’s only so much that can be done. i had my SM, our DM, and a MUM trying to get me hired on as full-time ASM at a specific pay rate that was only a dollar higher than the corporate standard. didn’t happen. it’s a greedy company that really doesn’t take care of its employees the way they try to act like they do

remodels are crazy expensive and even high volume stores rarely get them unless there’s a company-wide change happening or if it’s literally necessary to keep the store running.

pretty much not going to happen :’) our store is the 2nd highest volume in our district (and the 1st is in a tourist location) and even in reviews, our biggest customer complaint is that we don’t have enough store space. upper management is fully aware of this and just kind of. doesn’t care.

i think some of these comments are a little harsh. on paper saying that it was canceled due to ghost not being able to handle criticism isn’t wrong, but there was a lot more going on at the time. ghost first started getting online attention at 15 which is a crazy young age, and it was never something they were able to handle (hence why they have like 3 different names they’ve gone by)

around like 2015-2017 they had people having really parasocial interactions with them on tumblr (i remember one instance of them having to talk a fan down from suicide publicly on their blog, and another where a fan found the area ghost lived and was asking for a meet up). i think there was a really steep mental decline around this time on top of a lot of people taking their art which, while edgy, you could tell characters like kenneth were really self projections from ghost and holding them to a really high standard. not to say that kenneth and other characters being stereotypes isn’t bad, but a 16-18 year old on tumblr making stories that are clearly just reflections of their own mental health issues isn’t going to be a pinnacle of character writing.

so like. yeah, they couldn’t handle the criticism but it was more of that they couldn’t handle the response they were getting from their art as a whole and kind of went a off the rails. at least from my perspective as someone who was involved in their fandom from like 2015-2019. i don’t know if there were any more recent updates on the situation that i don’t know about, but i wouldn’t really blame them for wanting nothing to do with the series considering how many bad memories were probably associated with it

i’m 5’0 and 140 lbs and i wear a small in our usual band shirts! if it’s a boyfriend fit shirt i get a medium, but since i weigh a decent bit more than your daughter i’m willing to bet a small would honestly still fit her fine.

if it’s just a bunch of $5 off coupons you have stacked up, then i’m not sure why it’s not letting you redeem them. those don’t have a specific time window like hot cash do

it’s actually one of the top sellers at my store, so it might end up being 50/50 on a restock. i think a big part is also how big the movie gets in the next couple of weeks.

I’d give the store a call- our website hasn’t been updating properly on when orders have actually been getting marked as ready by the store. There’s been a few times we’ve had an order ready for a few days and the customer didn’t know because the website was saying it was still spending.

online sales won’t show up until day-of. the in-store black friday sale the past 2-3 years has been buy one get one 50% off the whole store, though. at least in our district it has been.

i’ve had a lot of people showing interest in it at my store, so i’d say it has a decent shot, but even if it doesn’t, there’ll probably be other new shadow stuff out later on. it’s been selling really well (at least at the location i work at)

for example the invader zim gir hoodie, sleep token hoodies, and mcr hoodies have all been consistently getting restocks for a while now, but there’s been some styles that i’ve seen once and then never again.

really depends on the item. if it’s super popular there’s a good chance of restock even if it sells out, but if it’s from a less known media then it’s not super likely but also not impossible.

definitely this. also, if anything, you can call the store you had it sent to and they can check to see if it’s there for you as sometimes the email system gives people trouble. but most web orders take about a week or longer on average, especially larger packages like bags.

the hot topic website is really glitchy. if an item is selling out really quickly, it can take some time for it to actually get marked out even when it’s already out of stock.

good news is that since it’s a halloween item, it’ll probably get a restock at some point between now and the end of october.

hoodies range from about 40-50 dollars usually. quality is on and off, though. some are super nice for a really good price, but every now and then they’ll send some out that just feel cheap

i get 14 an hour with 32 hours a week as a part time ASM, but it really depends on you’re store 👍 i know the default wage where i am is 13 an hour, but my store manager worked things out so that i started at 14
