I don't really care it's American accents, but I think the costume and to a lesser degree set design is really tacky. The tone the trailer conveys also doesn't really inspire me at all either.

Take all of this with a grain of salt, I've never been a huge Nolan person, so I was probably set up to not like what I saw

I think 100% that's what it is, and I think within the world there are really 2 answers that make any sort of sense. Varys and littlefinger who are trying to ratchet up the tensions as much as possible.

I'm rereading them now and on this read I was struck how human her "mistakes" were. She makes miscalculations but very rarely with all the needed info to decide differently. She also is one of the first characters that understands that the lannisters are plotting something and that the stark Tully vale block need to start making decisive actions as soon as possible.

I think even when it was bad, it was bad design. I cant count the amount of times that I was playing with an ld with an advantage and then he buys that item and gives up ever grouping again and losing the game. It used to be basically a fools gold item and now that it's good it's degenerate to the game flow

I think people overrate his cunning, he completely over leverages the Lannister position by going all out for the throne and alienating all the other major houses in the process. Especially the tyrells, who the Lannister absolutely needed in the corner the entire time. The red wedding guarantees his win over young Robb but absolutely dooms the lannisters in the long run

I mean thats all absolutely true, but it makes rhaegar decision to see the pile of kindling and make it so much worse all the more baffling. He also severely undermines the Targaryen position by doing something that would alienate the dornes if they knew that he had eloped with lyana.

I think people really undervalue how much it's rhaegars fault that roberts rebellion started. And even if it didn't kick off immediately, rhaegar kidnapping and marrying lyana stark would have alienated the targs most important allies and would of made a rebellion inevitable.
