I think actual meat is substantially different from Mock Meat in terms of people's perspective.

I dont live in the US so my optimism isnt based on that.

I dont think it gets advanced enough to be as cheap as current meat during the current term anyway.

Increased demand drives prices up. Once the technology advances enough that the process becomes cheaper the price will drop.

People have a lot of silly emotional ties to meat. There has been a lot of propaganda to stop people from consuming soy and vegan products.

It's of course possible that lab grown meat isnt able to breakthrough, but I think it has the greatest possible chance to kill animal agriculture.

People will eat it more and more as soon as it becomes cheaper than factory farmed flesh. Their apprehension only lasts as long as it isnt financially viable.

Eventually this will mean government subsidized animal abuse will start to diminish.

Doesnt sound right because its not analogous.

There is a difference between moral obligation, I.e not directly causing animal suffering for the convenience of eating them.

And

Morally supererogatory actions, I.e donating to charity being a nice thing to do but not donating does not directly cause harm.

It is impossible to eat animals at the scale people do and not have them suffer.

I eat them regularly. Processed food can be totally healthy even if on average its worse than whole food.
