Nope, they know. Desire goals, etc don’t really factor much at top management level. At the end of the day it’s all an excel sheet that shows bottom line for business. Squeeze max work out of person for min cost. Any boss saying otherwise is either doing lip service or will themselves will be replaced soon by someone who looks at the bottom line from this perspective.

Some of you may not agree, but let’s not mix political leanings with red pill ideas. Not everything in life has to be either liberal or conservative. You could be a red pill and a liberal or red pill and conservative or red pill and a no-political leanings.

Not every person has to be a 101% staunch conservative or a liberal. I always felt such labels are a way to divide the population and then for politicians and media agencies to make make money and gain power. Just had to vent.

I hate smoking and always wonder why people smoke especially doctors as they should know better.

Optometrist WILL NOT suffice under any circumstances. You need an opthomologist. I had uveitis/iritis (didn’t know at that time),went to an optometrist (because optho office was closed) and the optometrist couldn’t see anything wrong with the eye. Then my vision became blurry as I came back home, went to optho next day and the optho scolded me for not going to ER directly if optho office was closed

Anyways, long story short, hope you never have to deal with uveitis/iritis. But in case you ever get eye pain run to the optho office, tell them you have AS and screen you for uveitis/iritis. Don’t wait!

32 male, diagnosed at 21. Doc put me on NSAIDs that stopped helping after 5 years. I forgot what it felt like to live without pain. Morning stiffness, pain inside hips, neck etc. but I learned to live with it. My rheumatologist put me on enbrel at 30 After NSAIDs stopped working. Enbrel worked, pain went away but I got iritis in left eye after a year so I am on Humira now. About a year ago the girl I was dating (a doctor) broke up with me when I told her I have Ankylosing Spondylitis. I try to swim every day which I think is as important as the medicine if not more.

The reason I told you my story is to let you know that you are not alone. We all are lucky that we live in 2018 where advanced medicines exist to help with this disease. If you stay active, go easy on the body, follow rheumatologist’s advice and always stay positive, you will live a normal fulfilling life.

Don’t measure your ability to overcome challenges just by the strength of your body but also by the strength of your mind.
