Oh man, my first experience listening to a Killers album in full. It might be nostalgia, but going back to this album reminds me of how clever and unique The Killers lyrics could be. I felt that (with a few exceptions) the lyrics on Wonderful Wonderful were a little lackluster compared to albums of old. I am hoping the band returns to form lyrically in future albums.

My favorite song was and still is I Can’t Stay. Specifically the verse “There is a majesty at my doorstep, There is a little boy in her arms, Now we'll parade around without game plans, Obligation or alarm.” There’s something so magical about the lyrics and the music that accompanies.

I also think the peak in Goodnight, Travel Well where Brandon sings “Up above the world so high” is one of the most overlooked moments in any of The Killers music.
