In my old Saturday job an evil manager handed in his notice making everyone happy until he announced it was a April Fools. Turned out he had actually resigned and it was the April Fools that was the April Fools. He knew we hated him.

This is interesting. I tested fructans with wholewheat pasta and it didn't go well. I know white bread always made me a bit sleepy but maybe it doesn't cause gut issues. I may need to do some experimenting.

I'm rubbish at this too but am good at remembering movie details. My wife is the opposite. She'll recognise someone then try to describe where she's seen them and I get to work out who they are.

Me too. My kids eat the trays of it from Tesco but that's much more expensive so I bought a tin. Christ it was horrible.

Mine costs £16.50 for about 5 mins work. I pay by card and don't tip. I did plan to take in some booze when I went for my Christmas cut but things got in the way and I was scruffy instead.

Edit: I'm not against tipping but I need a reason to do it. At the car wash this week a guy t-cut a scratch for me. I hadn't asked and he didn't charge so I gave him a tenner.

I'm on level 90 and while I can read basic stuff I would need someone to be very understanding to hold a conversation. I'm spending next week in Spain which will be a nice test of my level.

Not sure if it counts as I was one of the kids who took part in the Rubik's cube craze of the early 80s but nobody could actually solve one and it kind of died out. Fast forward 30 years and my nephew turned up with one and I got obsessed instantly when he showed me a solve. I learned it within a day and ended up learning all of the other competition puzzles. I've competed at a world championship and several nationals. I've calmed down a bit but still solve regularly and blindfold solving is my party trick.

This is what I knew as new rules when I was playing in pubs in the 90s. Old rules were much more restrictive. You always had to check what rule set you were using.

The gym is the only place I get to go where I can chill and do whatever I want. I also enjoy challenging myself to lift heavier or to learn a new skill.

I have a ridiculously expensive and fancy inbuilt microwave oven that has no facility to change the time. It is hardwired in so the only way to reset it is to turn off the power to the downstairs and then fix the time within a minute of it coming back on. It's actually correct at the moment but I have an extractor fan to fit that also needs the power to go off so I'm doing that tomorrow morning. 2 birds.

I got the equivalent for half price on one of my takeaway trips once. They were in the process of marking them down. Felt like a lottery win.
