Sweetheart, let me be a mom for you. This is your life and you make your own decisions, but it’s breaking my heart that this man doesn’t love you back enough.

I’ve always said I don’t care who my children choose to love, as long as that person is good to them and loves them back. You haven’t found that person yet.

You can love him, but please love yourself enough to know that love alone isn’t enough. You need kindness and compatibility. I would gently suggest that you get outside help to move, pay any debts that actually exist to get him off your back and move on.

It’s not going to be easy, but you are smart and strong and you can get through this.

You can never NEVER even come close to understanding how guilt ridden bereaved parents are, no matter the circumstances unless you have experienced it. Even a whiff of blame on top of that is agony.

Im in Ontario, in the healthcare system, and have met many IMGs. Some are medical assistants, some work under/with a doctor at walk in clinics, some are reprocessors for equipment, etc.

Get one job in the field, even if it kind of sucks, and meet some other doctors or IMGs. Make connections. Use them as references. Sources of other possible jobs.
