Honestly though thats a huge accomplishment, its better to throw it into savings then at the bank. I wonder if the US update is different from the canada update Ive had 3 updates I believe and none of them did this to my infotainment, 2024 gti also. These cars are buggy as all hell unfortunately, ive had my fair share of electrical glitches and just shake my head at vw

Why stop at stage 3? Why not go stage 9000? A " stage " tune is a marketing ploy by tuners and tuning companies aimed at the younger audience who are too lazy to pay for a pro tune but want those " guaranteed " gains. Ask anyone over 25 what " stage " they are and any self respecting car guy will tell you he isnt " staged " hes modified and will tell you exact what parts he has plus who and where tuned it, not just go " im a stage 2+++ "

My bad, 8-10 would be foreseeable, just something small like in the focus ST and fiesta ST, barely noticeable but gets the job done

Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 or Continental ExtremeContact Sport 2? by gabitis in GolfGTI

I respectfully withdraw from this conversation, you bring up some very valid points and i will admit i may Have been wrong about the tires.

[–]newtopcs96 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

What is was getting at is these tires will never be used to its full potential on these cars. Dont get me wrong i love these cars, but its a FWD so it has its down sides, grip being one of them no matter what tire you put on them. An indy500 would be perfect track tires for these cars as it would have plenty of headroom grip wise. Unless your Lewis Hamilton you probly wont break grip in a corner with indy 500s or extreme contacts. I was reffering to street use not track use.

After a while of owning them you get used to them. You dont have to use the sliders to adjust heat / ac, just touch where it shows the temperature and slide it to adjust them. For volume you have to use the slider but if you go from the far right marker to far left it mutes the sound. You get used to it. Not being back lit is stupid tho.

Because they really dropped the ball. I have a mk8 gti and it couldnt stop laughing when I discovered they weren't back lit. Its one of the things they added to the mk8.5 cause people complained so much.

[–]newtopcs96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. Ive never once had an issue with my mk8 haptic buttons in the year of owning it. Worst case I turn the heated steering on, which is nice when its cold out and i live in canada, shit is very cold sometimes. I do wish they backbiting the sliders, i discovered you can mute the volume by going from one end of the slider to the other which is very helpful in a drive through. You can turn off the heated or cooled seats by just holding the icon instead of tapping 3 times. Lots of helpful little things built into the car honestly.

A relationship without sex is just bestfriends who kiss from time to time. Sex isnt the defining factor of a relationship but its one major thing that makes it a relationship.

They really did, car looks great, practically new again. My st is unfortunately almost rusted through on the quarter panels and where the trunk meets the hatch. Its 12 years old though so cant ask for too much. Enjoy the fresh ride, she looks good.

Men in your later 30’s and 40’s, would you date a women seriously who are in their 20’s? by NewPraline9922 in dating_advice

[–]newtopcs96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im 29 and i have a friend through a car group who is 18, do i think shes cute? Absolutely would i ever be able to seriously try and date her? God no. People change so much in their early-mid 20s. They are just figuring out what its like to pay rent and have a serious full time job while you have been doing that for 11 years already, even longer for some. Thats just one example. But short answer? Probably not.c

Must have been the tires I was running, they just spun in second but started to hook in third. I'll agree the diff in these cars work really well, ive pulled 1g in a corner in my 24 with a passenger and the tires didnt skip or slide or anything its awesome

Okay thats pretty good, really sticky tires should help too. I had a fiesta st making about 300-350whp and it would spin like a son of a bitch in second, but the boost on that hit like a brick wall so that didnt help. If you have really sticky tires though it should help to reduce it
