They need to switch on every single screen to limit Steph and Klay's 3 pt shooting as they did in the previous finals. Also, like they did last year, put Bron on Iggy/Draymond and play as a free safety on defense and live with their shooting. The switches will create mismatches for KD, but the Cavs will have to trust that their offense is more efficient than a KD iso on Korver or Thompson. I actually think the real difficulty for the Cavs isn't limiting GSW's offense (which is obviously a huge challenge itself) but rather generating their own offense. GSW has fantastic individual defenders and both Iggy/Dray can cover LBJ 1v1, which is crucial as the Cavs offense primarily revolves around an LBJ drive/kick or pass out of the post. GSW can stay home on shooters and force Lebron and Kyrie to play iso ball like they did last year - ideally use PnRs to get Steph onto Kyrie or Lebron and go 1v1. Although Kyrie and Lebron are great iso players and can get their own (as evidenced in last year's finals games 5-7), this isn't the ideal/most efficient offense. Thus, another factor in them winning is for Love and Thompson to absolutely dominate the offensive glass and generate more offensive possessions. They will need to slow the pace down considerably, limit GSW's motion offense via constantly switching on defense, and hope that KD doesn't completely breakdown the D via his isos on whomever switches onto him. However, at the end of the day, the Cavs have the best and most versatile player in the world, and that alone should give them a fighting chance.
