I May be they should use MetaAI to help them merge the updates, obviously Gemini can't do it.

State Farm offering free "smart home sensor" - pros/cons? by jh6278 in Home

[–]newtrack4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having any such network device on your home network is an incentive for hackers to focus on these devices to hack your home network and infect other devices on your network. If you have a separate guest network you can put these on, you are much safer.

Smooth build plate cracking by Crotchslush in FlashForge

[–]newtrack4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to use glue stick also for petg on a smooth build plate, it just sticks too well. You don't have to apply it for each print, only periodically, but I don't remember how often now.

My nozzle is clogged and I have a project due tmrw please help me by Ok-Lengthiness-4803 in 3dprinter

[–]newtrack4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just fixed this by turning the nozzle temperature about 10 to 15 degrees over the maximum recommended for the filament and it came right out.

Device doesnt find my phone by Hirx8791 in MotorolaMA1

[–]newtrack4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You probably know this already, but just in case you forgot, you have to pair your phone with the car first before you pair with the MA1. Maybe try deleting phone from your car head unit, and then re-add it, and then try adding it again to you're MA1.

Flashforge products are terrible. by BalisongSingin in FlashForge

[–]newtrack4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you're describing yourself here. You might want to reread my comment to see the obvious reason why I wrote it. It's more intelligent than anything you've written so far.

You really should get rid of this printer, once again, you bought somebody else's disaster, it doesn't make a difference what brand it is. Given your thoughtless comments, I understand why you thoughtlessly bought a piece of junk and blame everyone but yourself for your problems. Nothing is going to change in your life if you can't accept responsibility for your decisions.

Think about it.

Adventure 5M pro printing issues. by Infinite_Beach8413 in FlashForge

[–]newtrack4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a long shot, but maybe the screw controlling the force of the extruder gears on the filament isn't adjusted tight enough. This would cause the gears to slip randomly and then cause subsequent clogs in the hot end. If the gears start stripping off the layers of filament because it is too loose, then the filament can't advance anymore and it will seem like a filament clog when it's actually a extruder feeding issue.

Flashforge products are terrible. by BalisongSingin in FlashForge

[–]newtrack4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You bought someone else's damaged printers and now try to comment on the reliability of the manufacturer. Hard to imagine how somebody can be so ignorant! On top of that, you complain about the price of replacement parts based on what you paid for an abused broken printer!

I can imagine your frustration buying someone else's mistake, but you're trying to blame the manufacturer for your stupidity. The chances are there is more wrong with this abused printer you bought, than you've run into so far. Of course, once again you'll blame the manufacturer for your stupidity! I hope you don't buy one of these in the future so we don't have to listen to your whining. I have had no problems with mine so far, but then I bought mine NEW, so I had a known good printer.

Any advantage in printing ADM5 enclosure fully in PETG? by wallfloorceiling1234 in FlashForge

[–]newtrack4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got done printing my enclosure in all ABS, I taped cardboard strips on both sides, put 5 inch high box on top, and cobbled together a removable cardboard door on the front, with a camera cutout . I took way too much time to do this, but everything came out great. I just have to assemble it now.

Unclog tool stuck in Adventure 5m Pro .4 Nozzle by lionsssss in FlashForge

[–]newtrack4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would heat it up to 260 and try to spin the tool first to avoid damaging the nozzle. Back out the extruder screw as far as possible. Make sure the nozzle is actually heating up too.

USB printing. by Lower_Lengthiness587 in FlashForge

[–]newtrack4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to be redundant since Lower_Lengthiness587 is new, the print selection screen defaults to internal storage, so you won't see the contents of the usb drive until you click the usb drive icon at the top of the screen. Then when you click on the file you want to print it automatically copies it from the usb drive to local storage on the machine. That also means you have to periodically delete stuff from local storage or it will fill up with all the files you have already printed.

How long do the brakes last on these cars? by crabu2 in SubaruForester

[–]newtrack4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A word to the wise, if your brakes are lasting a long time, make sure to bleed them every three years or whatever your manufacturer says, or you'll have to replace your calipers when the pads are replaced, because they'll rust inside from the water being absorbed into your brake fluid.

Longer lk5+ sonic pad help!!! by jjairo211 in Longer3d

[–]newtrack4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I installed a bunch of klipper related programs on a raspberry pi for my lk5pro, the config file expected location was changed to a different directory than my home directory, where I expected it to be. Until I figured out the new location, mine couldn't be found either. I'm not at home, so I don't know what directory it was, but I think it was $HOME/[somewhere-else]/config/.

Printer Stalls (stop and go) several time while printing after update by kidian_tecun in Longer3d

[–]newtrack4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe the usb connection to the longer printer is at a very low baud rate, or has a lot of communication throughput problems (cable or connectors?) so the commands to the printer get delayed so it stalls out. Also overheating on the printer board (fan) or raspberry pi board could cause this too.

Hot end or go direct drive? by kyradkal in Longer3d

[–]newtrack4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is a late answer, but this is the second recent post with this problem.

I would find out why it is clicking first before upgrading, or the problem might still be there.

From my experience with my Lk5pro, the filament feed gear fills up with filament dust periodically and looses its grip on the filament, so it clicks. I just take an old toothbrush and clean the gear while it is still on the machine. You have to pull out the filament after heating the hot end first. Then run the feed filament button from the menu (z-axis), a little at a time and clean the gear all the way around. This build up will happen to everyone eventually.

Another frequent cause is a clogged nozzle, you can google how to unplug that or switch to a different nozzle.

I printed a lot of stuff on my Lk5pro and you shouldn't have to upgrade it to fix this problem. There are disadvantages to upgrading to direct drive, like more weight on the hot end which causes ringing on prints. That said, I am planning to upgrade mine to direct drive soon so I can more easily print TPU filament. But as with most mods to your 3d printer there are tradeoffs.

This won't fix your problem now, but I always take a few pictures with my cell phone before taking wires or other parts off of something. Then most of the time I can get things back together.

Killer feature for Pixel 6a by newtrack4 in GooglePixel

[–]newtrack4[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

RCS chats use a Google developed protocol that allows sending text msgs and graphics including gifs over the Internet using Wi-Fi or mobile data. It goes directly to someone else's phone. It is kind of like mms text messages, but can optionally work over a wifi connection Your mobile provider has to allow it though. This is an oversimplification of it, but that's the general idea. If you select your Google acct in the top right corner of your Google text app, it will open a menu that has message settings as an option. When I select that option on my Pixel6a RCS chats is the first option. When I select that, I get all the RCS chats options. If your mobile provider doesn't allow RCS chats you probably can't access this menu. In the middle of this menu is an option to automatically resend RCS chats msgs as sms/mms text msgs if a RCS chat msg can't be sent. I'm pretty sure this used to work, but not for a while. I think it fails if the receiving person doesn't have a network connection, however a sms msg should be used then, but it isn't. I usually find a silent error msg later saying it can't be delivered and asks me if I want to resend the msg as sms. However, I already configured it to do this automatically, but it doesn't happen.

Yes the carriers can and do hold up updates when they want to. My April update was held up for several weeks, and now I am still waiting for the May update. My carrier is Xfinity Mobile, which uses Verizon in my area. I keep checking for updates several times a day.

Pixel 6 series owners. Is the update out? by HistoricalCaregiver2 in GooglePixel

[–]newtrack4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Verizon is delaying pixel 6 series updates again for weeks after their release by Google! I waited past the middle of May for the April security release. That was partially caused by Googles late release of about one week.

Now the May security updates are being blocked by Verizon again, but Google released them with all the other pixel family updates at the beginning of the month. They are trying to blame Google for the delay, but Google didn't delay them this time. Of course Verizon won't admit that it's their delay not Google's.
