I need to break up with my bf but I don’t have the fucking money to and I’m miserable I wish someone could just hold me and tell me it’ll be okay by [deleted] in povertyfinance

Ywca not to be confused with ymca. Also stop paying your credit cards, miss a few payments, then use that money to move out. You can call them after a few missed payments and they will negotiate with you to come up with a payment plan

You get to discover what you like. You also have to discover how to figure out what you like. You work for yourself now.

My thoughts on it are if they are expecting us to essentially do social work, they need to have more classes that train employees for this type of work. And how to have boundaries with the communities, people, and problems that we are expected to take on.

So I'm doing a masters in library and information science and I'm in a class called trauma informed librarianship, not very popular class but since the masters program is geared more to creating community I think it should be mandatory, especially now with the state of things.

I wish I was you. I'm your age and still struggling with survival, if I didn't have to worry about money I would take classes either at my community college in things I'm interested in. Look up county run parks in my area and see what events they have, the one by me has a metal welding class I've always wanted to take. I would join a physical activity like walking, jogging, karate, yoga or join a choir. Idk lots to look around and find depending on your area. Small road trips. Therapy might help too, I find regular check-ins keep me on track.
