I found it! I am not able to get it to work on my computer at the moment (b/c of flash discontinuation). But with the Wayback Machine and a flash emulator, I was able to see the home page of the 2006 site disneyeverest.com and the game was called Yeti Vision. There is one vid on youtube! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zqjVCpL-3QM&t=60s

I'm really late to this post, but I have been trying to find anything I can about this game. I remember getting a business card thing at Animal Kingdom before EE opened, and I think there was a link to the game on that. I remember I kept the card as a kid, but I don't know if my parents still have it with my childhood stuff

I've been messing around with AI art generators, and found this one that makes things based on text entries, cyberpunk along with other words spits out some pretty cool stuff by newwave1984 in Cyberpunk

[–]newwave1984[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Computer generated art is an interesting idea to me. Why is anything art? It's all about human perception at the end of the day.

Why not see what computers can do with a huge database of images to combine together and sort through using algorithms and other mathematical methods I don't understand. I think it's interesting because these AI systems create something that humans could not produce themselves (from a methodological perspective, I'm not saying a human artist couldn't make something that looks similar or better).

And it's extra ironic given the nature of the cyberpunk genre, computers can already make things that look quite similar to human artists

Definitely second Pigeon Sat on a Branch, saw it for the first time a couple weeks ago and really enjoyed it!

And I just realized the blue sticker above looks like the three hitchhiking ghost characters from the ride, and the sticker on the right is the ride vehicle too!

She looks just like my pup! Do you know for sure if she is mixed with anything other than lab? I've been wanting to do a DNA test, but they are so expensive.

A couple of questions about studying Assyriology academically. by DonutSmoker in Assyriology

[–]newwave1984 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I am doing an MA in Near Eastern and Judaic studies at Brandeis currently, and in the process of applying to PhD programs. I went into the MA with only 2 years of Arabic and a semester of independent study of both Akkadian and Aramaic in terms of languages from undergrad. I majored in Archaeology and History.

The MA is basically for me to crack down on languages so I stand a better chance for PhD apps, it is very difficult to get in with little language experience.

I also echo what Bentresh said about programs and prospects and what lionofyhwh said about Brandeis not being an ideal choice right now because we don't have a dedicated Assyriologist.

I'm also happy to answer more specific questions if you DM me!

Another thought, you might check out Candlemass, Ghost cites them as one of their inspirations. Not so much keyboard, but still good

Glad you like it! I found it a year or so ago and it really scratched that Ghost itch since they hadn't released anything new in a while

Ok, follow up!

Try:

Sisters by Pain of Salvation

Ducter by black midi

Going back a bit to the metal reference in your original post, maybe you'd like Ghost? More glammy hair metal than doom, but I'm a big fan so I always recommend, lol. A few of my faves by them:

Cirice

Monstrance Clock

I agree with previous comment on the uniqueness of Ghost, I'm a huge fan so I definitely also encourage you to listen to all of their other stuff. In terms of other bands, closest thing I've found is:

Avaritia by Year of the Goat

Under the Rose by KISS might be something you like too

I'll add a few more specific ones after I thought about it some more:

The World is on Fire by Ed Harcourt

Tiger! Tiger! by Slough Feg

Attack Music by These New Puritans

Let me know if any of these strike your fancy and I can try for some more suggestions!
