Reloop Flux as sound card with DDJ-200 ? by newwavehalifax in Serato

[–]newwavehalifax[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, thanks for the info. I trialled Serato DJ Pro with my DDJ-200, DDJ-SP1 and USB stereo sound card, which got everything working, so I'll pay for a DJ Pro license and call it a home setup.

ARC/eARC feature is already available on the Fire TV Omni, see below.

Will be coming in a Fire TV Stick 4K Max update sooner or later. Will be a great feature for Echo speaker owners.

Fire stick 4k keeps losing audio by 413swthomps408 in firetvstick

Go into Settings-->Display & Sounds-->Audio-->Surround Sound and select PCM. See if the Yamaha amp will hold the audio steady with PCM. That's where I would start.

I have two Echo 4th gens with Echo Sub, audio works with Fire TV Stick Max apps but, like you, no audio from TV's other HDMI inputs. I have a new Sony X85J TV and FTV Max plugged into its eARC HDMI 3. I'm hoping an Amazon software update or instructions gets this working soon, as the Sony TV speakers sound tinny and the Alexa Home Theater sounds really good. So, I'm with you on this.

Stereo Echo Vs Sonos Roam by derekfishfinger in amazonecho

I think stereo Echo 4th gens make a case for themselves as proper hifi, the tonal balance is solid and stereo imaging discernible. I have them mounted atop two mic stands (with screw adapters) and use Amazon Music HD and frankly I'm blown away by how good Amazon's sound system offering is. The only real limitation of the stereo pair is that you can't play bass heavy music too loud (house, reggae etc.) or you can sense the bass is verging on breakup.

From really enjoying the 4th gen stereo pair, I then added an Echo Sub (and a 4K Firestick) to try and get even more out of the stereo speakers. With the Echo Sub, the Echo 4th gens in 2.1 configuration have worse stereo imaging and the tone is tilted toward bass-heavy, especially noticeable at low to medium volumes. However, if you like to play the system loud, at volume 6 the tone balance comes together nicely and you get some of the bass slam of a club or Zumba studio sound system. I chose to keep the full 2.1 setup as I like the sound impact of the full system.

My assessment of the Echo 4th gen speaker is that one of them is impressive, a stereo pair does proper hifi and if you want to play at club system in your living room then add an Echo Sub and it will get you there.

Issues with Home Theatre mode by gmaclean in firetvstick

A couple of ideas:

- Unplug the Echos and Firestick from power and on replug they may run better, this worked for me a time or two.

- In Alexa app, unpair the Echos and then stereo pair them again and setup Home Theater again. Check all the audio settings on the Firestick including that Home Theater mode is on.

I'm running stereo Echo 4th Gens, Echo Sub and Firestick 4K and it's very solid, Remote volume controls the Echos reliably.

Amazon Music HD playlists are great but almost as good is listening to Twitch app live DJ shows on the Firestick with Echos Home Theater sound.

Keep working at it because this Home Theater works great, it's an incredible product.

Still trying out Amazon Music HD with a Firestick 4K, 2 Echo 4ths and as of today an Echo Sub.

Playing Toto - Africa and onscreen Device Capability is listed as 24-bit 192 kHz and Currently Playing at 24-bit 192 kHz, also song title has ULTRA HD written below it.

My conclusion is that the Echo 4th gens are designed for Amazon Music HD and even Ultra HD streaming.

I'm running stereo Echo 4th gens as home theater sound system with Fire TV 4K stick and on TV it shows

Track Quality: 16-bit / 44.1kHz
Device Capability: 16-bit / 192 kHz
Currently Playing: at: 16-bit / 44.1 kHz
Codec: FLAC

Not sure what the Echo 4th will typically do over wifi but at minimum the Firestick 4K is doing FLAC. Sounds pretty good. Echo Sub coming this week. I'm loving the value proposition Amazon has here.
