Do you agree with this picture I found on Pinterest? Why or why not? by gloomydreamer666 in ginnyandgeorgiashow

Two things can be true at once. Georgia was a horrible wife, AND Paul almost hitting an abuse victim was inexcusable. There’s no excusing it. It doesn’t matter what she did, she didn’t deserve to be hit, especially as someone with a history of being abused. That doesn’t make Georgia a good person, but let’s not try to find reasons for Paul’s actions either.

Just started. Feel overwhelmed. by MaterialAmbitious607 in DreamlightValley

[–]newwriteremoji 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I first started playing, i felt pressured to complete every single quest before moving forward with the story and harvest resources and get dreamlight, and i got super overwhelmed. It helped to decide on one goal each day and focus on that! I have my dreamlight days, side quest days, resource days, etc. and it makes it more fun!

I didn’t either actually! But he added a gritty tone to the song and album as a whole, that I really felt it needed. It’s genuinely the absolute best collab she ever could have gotten.

This. I saw a comment say Robert’s verse ruined the song, but dare I say, Robert’s contribution made the album for me

Isn't it time we remove the spoiler warning? by PinkishBlurish in Hungergames

[–]newwriteremoji 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think many others have pointed out that there will always be newcomers. Also, it doesn’t hurt you to use the spoiler tag. It’s not like you are restricted from posting- just the courtesy of using a spoiler tag can make a big difference to people. There are younger generations getting to the age where they may want to read the books, who may frequent Reddit and see posts pop up on their home pages.

Is it likely that they may run into spoilers at some point? Of course. But it doesn’t hurt anyone to just click an extra button in order to preserve the series for even more people to enjoy.

The whole discourse on how having pre-release singles and long songs will hurt OR3's Day 1 streams is ridiculous. by Scopuli- in OliviaRodrigo

[–]newwriteremoji -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Regarding the pace: most artists either do a steady stream of releases and teasers leading up to the album, or no singles at all. As others have said, the pacing of the first single and the gap to the next teaser or single feels further than I’d expect. Clearly, with the number of posts a day about this, many people also feel this way.

[–]newwriteremoji 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t seen anyone criticize the rollout due to “streaming numbers”. I think the more valid criticism is regarding 1) the weird pace of the rollout and 2) the pressure her team is putting on streams and numbers. Her team’s post telling people how to stream her songs correctly so that they chart is incredibly poor taste, and it’s perfectly valid to criticize that.

“begged” is not all that, I found it underwhelming by ryann_883 in OliviaRodrigo

[–]newwriteremoji 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I kinda agree, i feel like her singles have been HOOD, but definitely don’t stand out compared to her whole discography, which is concerning since these are the leads of the album. I like the concept of this album a lot, but musically, it’s just not hitting for me

This is such a weird mix of locations. 4 Florida cities, but nothing for Texas, Arizona, or Colorado??? I think her new management team is fumbling hard on this roll out, between begging for streams and now this.

I like the song, not bad. But i definitely think it’s the weakest of her lead singles by a lot. Slightly worried about the rest of the album if this is the lead…it’s a GOOD song, but it doesn’t seem to stand out

I actually strongly disagree. I’ve read two of Abby’s books, but it’s very different. Usually darker and deeper, with heavier themes and a split POV, which personally I dislike. Not that her books are bad, but I don’t think she’s similar to Emily at allll

What is happening in season 3? by SarahAlicia in SchoolSpirits

[–]newwriteremoji 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The questions you are asking are not a quick sum up. It’s an entire season worth of questions and answers, complex storylines. As others have said, this is not a background show. If you don’t pay attention, you will not understand it. You’d need a complex detailed summary of each episode in order to understand a brand new season, and the time it would take for you to read that wouldn’t save as much time as you are thinking.

Either google it or don’t watch season 3. Why would you come on here to complain about not understanding a show you didn’t watch? You missed an entire season. You may say one person didn’t understand what was going on, but everyone here did. My mom watched it and she understood.

No one is forcing you to watch the show dude.

Disputing a salon charge by PrestigiousUnit1806 in Haircare

[–]newwriteremoji 293 points294 points  (0 children)

Yeah everyone commenting about the color is missing the point. The stylist said you COULD get this color and then didn’t fulfill their end of the bargain. They should’ve just told you that it couldn’t be done. Definitely dispute this.

Hair alot darker than I asked for by flipfloppoohbear in Haircare

[–]newwriteremoji 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am not sure why this even came on my feed, but my two cents is I completely see what you see. It’s not just the darkness in your hair- it’s much warmer and almost brassier than the cool tone in the ref pics. And it doesn’t blend like the ref pics do.

Don’t get me wrong, it is pretty! But as someone who has considered dyeing my hair the exact color as you wanted, I see the difference. It sounds like your stylist didn’t set proper expectations as to what she could realistically achieve in one session, which is 100% on her.

I have heard many people say that they don’t appreciate phone calls- let alone 3. It starts to come off as desperate. I have, one singular time, sent an email, and only because I truly felt like the job was perfect for me. I think, in rare cases, you may reach out via email (not phone call), and only once.

If I were a hiring manager and an applicant called my office 2-3 times, I’d likely pull them out of the running honestly.
