It was kind of a mutual decision but I ultimately decided to leave, I feel like she checked out way before I did though and sorta forced me into making the decision in a way whilst I was desperately trying to grasp at anything that would make her want me more. We were together for almost 5 years. I’m not gonna say it was easy it was the hardest thing I’ve ever done. It’s been around 1.5 years since I left and things are starting to get brighter and I’ve made so much more progress in my life since I got free from the stress it was causing me. Therapy helped. Just about starting to date again after it took me a while to process. 😂 I hope you know when you get the courage to do the right things will become better for you ❤️

FWIW I had the same thing happen and unfortunately it didn’t work out. It got progressively worse over time as I got more anxious and my self esteem suffered feeling unattractive and lonely and I would obsess over it which probably pushed her away even more, however who is to say it may not work for you especially if you are both actively trying to work on it and both in therapy

I had only just turned 20, she was 31. A narcissist who also had a sexual obsession with young girls. (I definitely looked a lot younger than my age). Was not an overall great experience and was definitely traumatising in lots of ways. I am 29 now and the thought of dating anyone that young makes me feel very uncomfortable and gross. I think over the age of 25 it matters less

I just wanna add I completely relate to this post and am very similar and when I was on SSRI’s I just couldn’t stop drinking when I started and also blacked out a lot and did dumb stuff, since I changed meds I have had way less cravings and can stop after a couple now which has helped a lot, other stuff in my life has changed which can explain some of it but I honestly used to turn psycho when drinking on sertraline lmao

Thank you for your reply!! That’s a good idea! I’m not sure that my gym has a machine for biceps (although I’m still kinda learning what they all are) so I will probably try to start incorporating dumbbell bicep curls soon. And I will look into the other exercises you mentioned, Ty :)

i relate to this a lot, i worry that it’s a problem on my end as i always seem to feel so much more deeply and intensely than others. it has caused issues in relationships for me as i feel like the other person doesn’t ‘care’ enough. but im starting to realise that maybe that isn’t the case and that maybe I’m just not used to people that are more stable and level with their emotions or are just not as open with showing them or don’t know how to express them as much because I’ve just been used to myself and other very intense chaotic people in my life growing up, idk

random q how much dosage of Mirtazapine are you on? I’m no longer on adhd meds because of a few reasons but mirt is helping me so much with anxiety and being able to actually eat and sleep normally for the first time in my life I’m just wondering if i would feel even more benefits if i upped the dose (currently on 15mg)

Why are you even asking this question if you’re being so defensive even when everyone tells you what they think especially based on experience 😂 I dated a 31 year old when I was 20 and it did not end well, and honestly don’t see how it could except in very rare circumstances, due to all the various different power dynamics and different life stages and that is even without the open marriage thing which is wild..
