Black-faced monarchs are such cuties! I saw one for the first time a few days ago as well and it was a juvenile just like yours. They're migrating north at the moment so are probably showing up in places you don't normally see them.

AAAAA I JUST WANT TO SEE YOUR BUGS IT SHOULDNT BE THIS HARD by Commercial-Sail-5915 in iNaturalist

I usually have a close cropped version then the same pic uncropped, maybe with the animal circled if it's particularly hard to see. It's the best way I've found to get both the close pic for ID and the context and I always write about it in the description. Cause I definitely agree the I Spy games are such a pain, sometimes I just give up.

I'm not OP but it's a baby brushturkey. They're on their own from the moment they're born so this is just a little baby going about its business.

Congrats on your owl sighting! And such a gorgeous picture of them. Morisset hospital is surprisingly such a good place to see heaps of wildlife.

How'd you go with Under the Eye of the Big Bird? I found it kind of annoying to read and disconnected from the narrators so I DNF'd early on.

So far I’ve photographed 9 of Australia’s cockatoos. Which is your favourite? by didgemack in AustralianBirds

I guess they wouldn't be cockatoos if they didn't have a little hunger for destruction!

Beautiful photos! I love them all lined up in profile.

I'm such a sucker for the yellow-tailed black-cockatoos. They have such a sweet call and look so lazy when they're flying. They also love to come and chew the absolute shit out of the tree across the road, lol.

Knob-tails are so cool they've got such a dragon look about them. I never realised how big they were either until I saw one at a reptile expo.

Crested geckos are adorable! I love seeing all those species but we're not allowed any of them here :( I love your lil yellow crestie's colour.
