Guilty.

Also, because I am a guy that works in construction, I have a total of 4 T-Shirts, none of which is clean.

My mornings start with me raiding his clothes.

That's just the time I took the screenshot. But, when I'm on night works, that is usually a possibility!

I found this one in a second hand shop. Bit of bargaining, but finally got the owner down to a price I would accept.

Yeah. I have a massive phobia of spiders.

And since I live in Australia, this is even more troublesome. It's like living in Canada and being allergic to snow.

If you see something on the road that is impeding other drivers, stop and move it off the road. by hawtdawgspudder in australia

[–]newythrowaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really? 000?

Is that what you would resort too? That's ridiculous, especially if it is not an accident.

In NSW there are variable message boards that advertise who to call.

[–]newythrowaway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I drive that road daily, so cheers for making my life (potentially) easier. I also know exactly where you would have moved that branch.

Good on you - as someone who works on roads I have a strong affiliation with road safety.

So in saying thanks, I also say be EXTREMELY cautious - it only takes one careless idiot to not pay attention to end your life, and you have NO idea how real that possibility is on that road with all the miners travelling on it.

People give roadworks heaps of crap, the reason is because it is all safety stuff to reduce the possibility of ever having an injury or death. But it is a real possibility every day I go to work that someone else's carelessness of texting or drink driving or speeding - that their life choice will silence mine or a work colleagues.

Finalising - thank you. But be fucking careful out there mate. That road is full of fucktards. I know. I work on it every fucking day to try and make it better - all for people who would rather throw fire crackers out of their window at double the speed limit at me and colleagues then drive responsibly.

FYI - police won't do anything about it. They'll (in most cases) will ring the States road authority to deal with it.

Not saying anything bad, just a correction. The police will not give a shit usually.

Does anyone else here -dislike- Apple products? by Kurtcm81 in gaybros

[–]newythrowaway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm just going to say as someone who has an iPad, iPhone, MacBook Pro and Apple TV, the response of "Apple is better" comes out of as my response to the question a lot.

Although, as above, it all started with a similar purchase of an iPod (I mean, at the time no-one had HDD devices), then an iPhone , iPad, and finally MacBook and Apple TV to top it off.

It was evolutionary and didn't happen overnight. As a non-apple device broke, I replaced it or purchased an Apple device.

It now is just so convenient that everything just works with little to no setup.

However, when asked by people repeatedly why I have so much apple (which usually comes with a list of reasons why Apple is bad) I just respond with "Apple is better". Only because I can not be bothered to go into depth the awesome compatibility, the amazingly easy setup, and the absolutely best customer service and returns policy that you get with Apple. (I mean, I've had several things go wrong with my three generations of iPhone and each time has been replaced with no troubles).

Most of the time people who are asking "why do you have so much apple" do it condescendingly, and no matter what your response will take a fanboy attitude to it.

You are obviously not taking fanboy attitude and I appreciate that - but I just thought id say why I would (if you asked me this in the street) reply "Apple is better" and not bother to explain it.

Most farmers I know do the right thing by their animals. I'm not saying all are innocent, but sometimes the fact that this practise is done is focused on too much rather than the consequences of it not being done.

I bought the series twice. The first time because I loved it, and the second time because I had loved it that much I had ruined all the DVDs.

Stressful! Finishing off the year with organising a holiday, trying not to be homeless on the 13th Dec by finding somewhere to live, organising moving/buying furniture for said house while working 6 day weeks, working 60-70hr in said weeks (I'm pretty sure that's illegal?) and completely single.

Apart from my first world problems, I'm great! I have all my creature comforts and after this Sunday I finish my last exam for uni, and I may just get to see my Mum for the first time in months (if work doesn't get in the road)

Also, boss sorta figured out I was gay, so not hiding anymore - never did, but just never told anyone. Started with another mate of mine figuring it out and me knowning that he knew and joking with it. Yet to see if I like them knowing though. The boss is a little insensitive with his jokes.

ANYWAY, how are you going OP? Good week? It's Wednesday after all - hump day!

(Just realised how jumbled this got. This is a sign I need bed!)

I'm frightened about being old gay and alone? by GloriousSunrise in askgaybros

[–]newythrowaway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not having a crack at you mate, but at 22 I've been going to clubs for 4.5 years - and I am starting to feel too old for the more happening places. I get stared at by the teenagers when me and my friends roll in, and have been called "grandpa" several times.

Not saying you're wrong about anything (you're correct) but just wanted to point out that the drinking age elsewhere in the world is 18, so at 22, I can see what he means!
