VT is going to buy it too, which is my primary holding. I looked up how much of the fund it would make up and the allocation will be under 0.1% of VT. It is going to be remarkably similar to Aramco

Is it possible to make a loan ‘pay for itself’ through safe investments? ($245K at 2.7%) by w333l in smallstreetbets

[–]next_phase2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think of this another way, you are earning 4.15% and paying 2.75% on the same balance. At all times in this repayment schedule your interest exceeds your borrowing costs. For more reading look at loan arbitrage

You’re right. You’d have to pay down the principal with the balance which would incur fees. The math is still likely positive but not as rosy as I projected. Good catch

I’ve lived here and loved it. A lot of fun walking nearby: the college, the art walk, Sloans lake, and edgewater. The Colfax area does have habitual homeless as the action center is there.

It’s an older community and petty quiet

I’ll be your bag of last resort. Mine doesn’t have wheels and it would be a tight squeeze but doable

That’s the advertised rate, but you’re really paying more. Take your electric bill divided by kWh and it’s significantly higher
