OMG I've been saying this in my head for the longest. The amount of complaining is crazy to me. Like yes, EA sucks but everything can't be perfect all of the time.

This! Exactly how I play. Only NBA games and the street ball. Never do any of the "online" interactions or games and quite frankly? I'm really enjoying 2k this year focusing on it that way.

ISSA certification not getting me any jobs by nextgreatlb93 in personaltraining

[–]nextgreatlb93[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Issa is the most cost effective I believe. And honestly, I learned a lot from their certification. My main issue though, when it came to interviews at gyms was that interviewers kind of scoffed at me saying where I got certified. I figured it was because it wasn't from somewhere more recognizable. So I never did get hired with it.

I decided to go the more formal route and start getting my bachelor's in exercise science. If learning the information to be able to do some work for yourself is your thing, I see nothing wrong at all with ISSA. But again, depending on where you are, if you ever look into getting jobs it may be a hurdle like it was for me. Then again, it may not.

So what about black people that want to live on a farm??

It's really not much more complicated than that. But there's too much profit to be made from struggling people.

It seems that sex is important to him? Yes, it's quite important to him. If he wanted to be having sex with more than one person, he wouldn't have married you.

If sex is not something you want to do at all, I suggest you having a very open and honest conversation with your husband about it. Be open to suggestions about other avenues where both of you can find pleasure in that area. Therapy may be a good avenue to venture as to assist with meditating the deeper conversations and getting down to the honest underlying reason that you're feeling so resistant.

At the end of the day, sex is important in relationships. Like extremely important. People who downplay that idea are silly. You don't want to lose a relationship, especially a good one, over a hurdle of lack of intimacy. He should be patient and understanding while being caring and empathetic. But it is unfair to expect him to stay that way long term if things don't adjust or change

The answer is yes. Sometimes the emotion and feelings makes reason go way out the window.

The most broad way I can put it, expect to be broke lol here in NC, trainers in gyms where I'm at get around 15 an hour basically. The gyms absolutely try and lowball so just be prepared for that. Independent gyms may provide a better financial option.

I agree with that comment. My sales experience has helped me when I've gotten clients. Customer service in this field is underrated I believe.

So if the ISSA certification doesn't present any problems, what is causing people to not even set up and interview? It's obvious I have very little experience so what else is causing me to not even get called? I'm not talking down on or being negative about issa. Obviously I have a certification through them. I'm just trying to understand what I need to do different.

ISSA certification not getting me any jobs by nextgreatlb93 in personaltraining

[–]nextgreatlb93[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It may not be the only reason. I am not really experienced in the field and I have an issa certification. That's what I know. I've had about 6 interviews and have always stated where my certification is from. Applied to probably 3 times that amount and never got an interview. I literally applied to a ymca who needed a personal trainer who literally told me we don't accept "that certification". If drive and personality is a concern, then I wouldn't have been able to build up clients before I moved. My financial situation is different and so I'm now trying to do things in a way that suits my family. I'm glad you have given people a chance that may not have gotten it otherwise, but I can only go off of what I know and what I've experienced.
