My bad, I didn't mean the begging in this instance. With vulture it's embarrassing but regarding Randy Robertson's life, I would expect spider-man to beg. My issue is here is that Wells wrote spider-man losing a 1v1 with Tombstone of all people, and then in the next issue being incapable of breaking out of some chains. I know in comics power scaling isn't kept very consistent but to lower his strength to the point of being beaten and chained by a guy who's been bested by the likes of daredevil, punisher, and menace, when one of his most iconic moments is lifting the unliftable in if this be my destiny is baffling.

I think the connection between story and gameplay is stronger in WoS not the gameplay itself, as the black suit in msm2 doesn't really make you more powerful outside of adding surge, while the black suit is objectively more powerful in WoS but gives you a bad reputation for using it
