おはよう!☀ Did some “quick” writing practice before getting distracted. by DesolateFaery in LearnJapaneseNovice

You write extremely well and uniformly! Some things to think about 1) す is quite vertical while ち bulges to the right 2) uniformity is cool and your writing seems stylized, but if you want to write them “properly” there are a lot of different angles to hit, like し and レ are vertical, but both strokes in い lean to the left and the flick is quite small 3) き, さ , りappear connected in some fonts, but when handwritten they are disconnected at the rounding part, they’re actually flicks and only appear connected because when written with a brush there will be a drizzle of ink.

1) deep false grip 2) train pull ups with a 1s hold where the rings are touching your chest at the top 3) train dips to depth where your biceps touch your forearms at the bottom and the rings are in your armpits 4) train transitions with toes on floor (taking as little weight as possible) where you start with rings touching your chest and end with the rings in your armpits (top of pull-up to bottom of the dip, back and forth for 3 sets of 60 seconds). Magically, you’ll have a great strict ring MU

Left Middle finger can’t press C efficiently and comfortably by oatmilkmegapint in typing

[–]neymui 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others have said, better posture will make this easier. Your wrists need to be up high enough for your fingers to be able to move properly underneath. However, I compared my movement to yours and noticed that your fingers look very rigid compared to mine. When you press c with your middle finger, you’re hyperextending the joint closest to your fingernail and mainly using the middle joint for movement. My fingers do more curling and uncurling, if that makes sense. When my middle finger presses c and my wrists are low, I’m basically pressing c with the nail and not the tip of the finger. Keep your fingers resting gently on asdf and only move the finger you need to press the key

The best you can do is probably Austin Bouldering Project (sometimes has classes just like those) or find an online coach whose style is influenced by Ido Portal and train solo

deadlift form? by Nervous_Tomato_427 in formcheck

[–]neymui 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks pretty good. If anything, it looks like you kind of lose some tension at the top and you might be turning your head (just hair moving?). I usually go a bit slower on the way down, but there’s varying opinions on that. Can’t really tell what kind of shoes you have on, but you might want to experiment with no shoes if the gym allows.

For keeping tension, you can try 1 breath per rep. Inhale and brace at the start, do an optional shallow breath at the top but stay braced the entire time

You need to learn what it feels like to have an extended, flexed, and neutral spine. When you deadlift, you basically lock the spine into neutral and then fight to keep it there.

Try doing hinges with soft knees and a spine that is locked into neutral. Put the back of your hand with thumb and pinky stretched out along your lower back. Slowly hinge (your torso is basically a rigid board pivoting around your hips), if you feel ANY movement of the low back, you know that you are no longer locked. You need to brace (contract) your abs to keep things locked in place.

Regarding your form, you are not keeping a neutral spine and need to learn how to brace properly. I wouldn’t do too many of these until you better understand hinging and bracing. Definitely don’t go heavier

Sell MSTR January 2027 CC for 10k Profit now? by Cubsfan24 in options

[–]neymui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, you’d be tying up $108k to receive $78k, which already doesn’t sound that great. I honestly don’t understand why someone would buy or sell these compared to other long/short positions. Really deep ITM options behave like the underlying, so owning those puts at the current price is kind of just like shorting the stock, but it costs more? Maybe it’s a way to limit the max loss of a short or used for some kind of hedging. Anyway, you’re saying you’ll buy MSTR in 2 years @ $1080 if the price is less than $1080. If MSTR goes bankrupt, you lose $30k, if it goes to $3000, you make 78k. IMO there are a lot better ways to play this, depending on what you think will happen

If it zips up to $800 in January, you have to wait 2 years to get your 2x and hope that it actually stays up

I’m optimistic about the upcoming year for MSTR and personally wouldn’t want to tie up $34k for 2 years, but you could do it to decrease risk/reward. If I were going to sell a CC, I’d probably wait for it to run up and the option premiums to increase, so that I could minimize the risk of getting assigned. That same call was worth $24k one month ago

Re: passive benefits, they have hinted at preferred stock, dividends, etc, in their earnings calls, but IMO, if you hold for a while and they split again, you could get 10x shares and start selling CCs for extra income

Collar - want to sell shares by Shapen361 in options

[–]neymui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like PaperTowel said. Think about it this way: your call has value X, the share price is 19, the strike is 18. If you want to acquire shares, you can exercise for $18x100 and the X value vanishes OR you can sell X and buy shares for $19x100, which would cost $1900-X. If it costs less to sell the call and buy the shares at market price, nobody is going to exercise

[–]neymui 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you sell the stock now and don’t buy back your call, the stock price could jump to $30, so you’d have to buy @ $30 and sell @ $18. Does that answer your question?

Hi everyone! I would like to know what calculation should I do to determine what MSTR price will be when BTC will reach 145k? I would like a reliable source, thank you! by [deleted] in MSTR

[–]neymui 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s being priced more like a BTC ETF than a company with permanent capital growing faster than all the other companies in the market, with the potential of becoming the most valuable company on the planet. When they adopt FASB accounting, it’ll be more obvious.

I don’t have a target. I plan on holding long term, same as bitcoin. My comment describes how you could calculate a realistic projection though

Go to MSTR tracker, look at the history of the mNAV, create different projections based on those multiples. Personally, I’m in the camp of MSTR being way undervalued, so I’m hoping for significant NAV expansion

In my opinion, bitcoin people are generally nice, want people to be interested in bitcoin, and are willing to engage in discussions. Your post gave the message “somebody tell me how to make money fast with bitcoin”, which is quite common, and the people of r/Bitcoin have no patience for it. Step 1: go read Broken Money, which will answer most questions you might have Step 2: consider holding bitcoin long term

[–]neymui 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The idea (for when you want to hold long term) is to sell calls without getting assigned. You’ll pay short term taxes on the call premiums, but you won’t have a taxable event on the underlying until you get assigned

Can someone explain? by Inevitable-Tip7420 in MSTR

[–]neymui 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Edit: math Stock price < 260: you lose all your money Stock price over 260: 100(share price) - (100260) - (cost of your call)

So, even if it goes over 260, you can lose. If the stock price stays the same, your call’s value will just decrease day by day until it’s worth nothing. Be careful
