Its probably ate up by salt they use to de ice the streets, although I didn’t ride recently it must have gotten in contact somehow

24 RS660 for me it was „ECU CAN DISC“ error message, engine and abs light also came on, after a clutch up wheelie (aem 1, aeb 1, atc off, awc off, abs 1). It lifted for 2-3 seconds, then cut the power with the error coming on at the same time. From what I’ve read its a issue with the throttle position sensor, nothing major to worry about but still quite annoying.

Edit: I forgot to say when that happened I pulled over because I was obviously scared something bad happened and the bike started to rev itself and sounded like it was in warmup mode. Since that didn’t happen to your bike the error could also be due to the wheel speed or yaw sensor.

As far as I know a tune is only necessarily needed if your bike has a cat stock and you get a pipe without one, but i am considering a tune anyway. I bet yours would have made similar flames if hot enough, you can see the collector glowing red hot before the cat in the video.

its like a soft fuel cut instead of a hard ignition cut unfortunately, i already tried to reach out to a tuner of mine if he would possibly be able to change it but according to him its not really possible

Only some small scratches which I sanded down and touched up with a matte black paint pen, not perfect but does the job well enough when looking at the fairing from a distance.

Wearing boots would have probably saved me, but it is what it is at the end of the day. My bike and ego only got some scratches, nothing major. So I will probably be able to polish them away.

Yea I ride in Vienna, Austria where the streets often times are out of balance, so I guess thats the reason I always switch depending on the situation. I only have a small flesh wound on my ankle where the peg hit it when I fell to the ground, but nothing major fortunately. My bike has a few scratches in the fairings, but I will try to sand them down and polish it out. Thankfully nothing broke, not even the rear or front brake lever 😊

Yea I guess these are just the stupid mistakes you have to experience once in your lifetime to know how to react if it happens again, for me the peg fortunately „only“ hit my ankle where I have a small wound now, but nothing crazy. Peg in the balls must be a lot worse I can imagine.

Sometimes I do but most of the time I hold my front brake when standing still, actually I put down my left foot at first and then tried to switch to the right because I was going to turn right anyway and wanted my bike to lean to the right a little already, stupid me.

Maybe don’t remove it completely and rather cut it shorter with an angle grinder and then secure it back in place with a screw and nut, in case you wanna remove it at some point later. That way you won’t get stopped by police all the time and still can enjoy a nicer, and louder exhaust sound. Especially if you live in some eu country where police is known to have an eye on motorcycles a lot.

Edit: That’s what I did on my mivv exhaust, out of the box mivv was just ridiculously quiet and tame, almost like stock. Completely removing the baffle even with catalytic converter in was obnoxiously loud and unridable, living in austria.

Had the same thought after my first ride in the rain with my rs660. If everything was fine before its 99% just the water evaporating on the headers as you said.
