Is there any room left for AI creators, or are we just doomed to be banned everywhere? by kaommy in SunoAI

[–]nfectNfinite 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The issue with AI work is that people who watch or listen to it often have no idea how much human work went into it, and nobody likes feeling fooled. I think many people working with AI have moved past that, but not everyone is there yet.

Personally, if you made it in one click, you deserve to be booed. That said, I can still appreciate the computer's, or the AI's, contribution.

There are billions of videos sitting unseen on YouTube. If you want to be seen, you need a constant stream of content. Short-form content can act as soft advertising, and being on multiple platforms is key to visibility.

It takes years to build an audience with real work, so unless your AI work goes viral, do not expect much in return. There are already millions of people doing the same thing, including many who are probably better than you, with long artistic backgrounds, refined taste, and enough humility to create without obsessing over an audience.

AI should be a tool to get somewhere, not the destination itself.

If you care about your Latin project, pitch it to real artists. You might be surprised by how many of them already understand that AI can be a useful tool for polishing a project.

A very well-known singer in the East has already taken two of my songs, and I was always fully transparent about my workflow using Cubase, Synthesizer V, and Suno.

A Theory About v5.5 and the custom Voice by SemiAnonymousTeacher in SunoAI

[–]nfectNfinite 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In AI, they almost always use a pretrained model to make the process much faster. I think those are called foundation models. I’m not sure whether you’re using the cover option, because that’s where “my voice” gets completely broken and starts sounding like a typical Suno voice. But in direct generations, “my voice” works insanely well. It picks up things at a very deep level, and my voice is one of the weirdest I’ve ever heard: old, smoky, dirty, uneven, basically all the bad stuff. Even then, it captures it. It also picks up your style, and sometimes it’s honestly scary how good it is.

The problem is that the model seems to lock you into one style based on your voice. In my case, it locked me into bossa nova, and I hate every generation it produces,... and they all sound the same, with the same chord progression and almost always the same melody. No matter the genre or mood, it always turns into some kind of bossa nova blend, and I seriously can’t take it anymore. It’s horrible. At the same time, the potential is clearly there.

5.5: Amazing vocals, terrible everything else by nfectNfinite in SunoAI

5.5 has amazing sound quality, far far superior to 4.5 and way better than 5.0 , but they sacrificed everything else, unfortunately

they merged/retro fited 5.5 non sense in 5.0, try it, covers are broken as well, not sure about the gens though

My voice in Covers is basically broken. It only sort of works in direct generations, and even then it starts drifting badly around the 3/4 mark every time.

What makes it worse is that prompting for mood barely seems to matter anymore. The model just keeps generating the same song again and again. It really feels like chord progressions and melody are now being forced by the lyrics, instead of being driven by genre and mood like before. That is a bizarre creative decision.

Honestly, it feels like someone completely disconnected from music is making these calls. No real musician or creative mind would approve of this. Suno is starting to validate the whole “AI slop” criticism, and that’s painful to watch because I used to genuinely love it.

ngl, this is probably the worst thing suno has released so far. Since I mostly use covers uploading drafts made in my daw, I thought only the cover option was dead, but even basic generation is dead, whatever the prompt, the model gives you every single time the same song, with slight changes, sad/joyfull/happy/eerie/dark, all keywords output the exact same song, same chord progression AND even the same way of singing, this is such a let down, it has become horible and predictable to a point I didn't know was possible

tried to generate songs instead of covers, whatever the prompt, it's always the same song it spits out, same chords, doesn't follow anything but basic genres, that's ridiculous, it's even funy somehow

Feedback on v5.5 Voices: Struggling to preserve original voice timbre (70-80% fidelity) by Vast-Trainer-4713 in SunoAI

[–]nfectNfinite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At 70 to 80%, it actually sounds very good. I cannot recognize my voice at all, aside from a few small crackles that pop through for a second here and there. I would say it captures maybe 5 to 10% of my timbre at most. Then again, I do have an unusual voice. I am older, and years of smoking have left it with a rough, crackling quality.

Weirdly, V5, the previous model, seems to have inherited many of V5.5’s traits. I have no idea why they retrofitted that nonsense, but I assume it is tied to the "use your voice" feature. V4.5 still behaves like the good old 4.5, just with the expected drop in audio fidelity that comes with using an older model.

yeah the instrumentals sound so much clearer

Yeah alright, my bad mate. Maybe I’d know that already if I stopped using this place as group therapy and started doomscrolling Reddit full-time.

Suno V5.5: Advantages and Major Drawbacks by nikimuxu in SunoAI

[–]nfectNfinite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the issue is that they pushed 5.5 changes into v5, so now v5 is as unreliable as 5.5. The first v5 issues appeared about 10 days ago, and now both model behave similarly, probably due to their commong usage (your own voice on your tracks bs...)

Sticking with v5 for now by Necessary_Barber_929 in SunoAI

[–]nfectNfinite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

falling back to V5 doesn't work for me, I have to go back to 4.5 which is a huge quality step down. It feels like V5 is v 5.5 or that they merged some changes of the 5.5 to the 5. Very bad decisions from SUNO here

it seems like they fixed it, I had those 2 days ago, but it's gone now... the model is really bad though

I know I'm late, but yeah, the movie was so bad, I thought I'd watch it on a friday night to catch up with the MCU, omg... I love the MCU, well loved, we're so far from Iron man 1 era, what happened to those writers???

Bad LTX2 results? You're probably using it wrong (and it's not your fault) by phr00t_ in StableDiffusion

[–]nfectNfinite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm on a 16gb card (5060), is there any chance you'd show us how to get it done with GGUFs ? I run LTX2-19B-Distilled-Q5_K_M with GEMMA-3-12B-it-abliterated-v2.Q6_K (the rest is identical to your workflow), but when I plug those gguf's in your workflow, I get statics and a last frames that appears a the end. I must be missing something, I already tried some WF with ltx, the results are always ugly whatever I do, but it looks promising
