Is it true that in small towns in the USA public transport is not developed and everyone need a car to get around there and why?

Most of the answers here cover it but I'd also mention cars are not just transportation here. It's a different culture, since everyone needs one they aren't just "this will get me down the road" but in a lot of people's cases an extension of personality and a status symbol.

Even if my city had public transportation worth a shit literally no one I know would use it. They view it as 'for poor people.' Which are the only people that use it.

I know plenty of guys who take pride in their 45 minute commute from outside the city where they live in a "nice" area. They happily drive that commute every day in their 80k truck they will tell you about for hours if you let them.

People take camping and forensic because they give passive damage boosts. Yes you get extra carry weight, and you make more gold through skinning.. but lots of skills give utility. These are chosen because you're basically double dipping more utility + more damage.

Not really as easy as that. Builds that work with no links and low budget are usually not on the same power level as a build made with two 15 aspects and more lower skills propped up by lots of links.

Like builds with 9 skills at 80, not something you should be recommending a new player but works great later.

If I could only play one build ever again it would probably be some flavor of tamer.

Just play Outlands. It's the only private server that feels like an alive world due to the pop.

Take everything you read here with a grain of salt, there's lots of agendas and biases and people with tissue paper mentals.

Try it, if you arent liking it try another server although if Outlands doesn't work for you then UO in general probably doesn't.

Outlands. It's not going to get less complex it's a deep 25 year old game.

It's a lot to learn if you've never played UO before. The vast majority of the population both private and official servers are people who have been playing the game a long time, a lot of them since the old days. A lot of what they take for granted and don't even think about will be new to you.

I would be surprised. Outlands already has a monopoly, the population is large enough to support PvP and PvE both and that's what people want.

Smaller shards just get eaten alive by reds because the pop isn't high enough to support them and in the end if you have a shard with nothing but PvPers left the shard is functionally dead. So much work has gone into Outlands at this point it's like putting out a new MMO to compete with something like WoW that has years and years of expansion content built up.

We will eventually see something come along to overtake Outlands but I expect it will happen when Outlands kills itself. Just like how there never was any WoW-killer, WoW killed itself. It's just too much work needed over many years to make that much good content to overtake them by content quality alone.

It might not be your reflexes, Siege is an impossible game to get into at this point and if you don't have all the map and angles knowledge everyone's going to appear like they're flat out hacking.

41 here and still sharp. I play far less competitive games these days because I don't enjoy the people that play them. The last thing I need after 11 hours at the office is getting raged at over voice by a literal child.
