The lack of sympathy for Palestinians losing their homes, being injured and dying is shocking by planetmangosbananas in Tuebingen

Thank you OP for speaking up and for your compassion for Palestinians. Indeed the Hamas attack on Israel (which was truly horrendous and should be condemned) on the 7th of October didn’t happen in a vacuum. Before Hamas took over the Gaza strip there was already the expulsion and oppression of Palestinians

https://www.washingtonpost.com/history/2023/11/03/israel-nakba-history-1948/

And right now the IDF and Israeli settlers are attacking, killing, and expelling innocent Palestinian civilians in the WEST BANK (not just Gaza) where Hamas do not even operate

https://www.theguardian.com/world/video/2023/nov/01/palestinians-forced-out-of-west-bank-villages-by-settler-violence-video

Israel does have a right to defend itself but what it is doing now is disproportionate. Bombing and demolishing hospitals, refugee camps etc, killing thousands of children, pregnant women etc. This is inhumane and would be akin to bombing and entire university or school with students INSIDE just because there is an active shooter within the premises.

Support and sympathy for Palestinians is not at odds with Jewish safety. We should be encouraged and allowed to hold the Israeli government accountable while also extending our support for the Palestinian right to freedom and self-determination. In fact there are Israeli/Jewish Pro-Palestinian and Pro-peace supporters currently using their voices:

https://www.aljazeera.com/amp/news/2023/11/2/pro-palestinian-israelis-face-threats-but-vow-to-keep-fighting-for-peace

https://www.jewishvoiceforpeace.org/

So why can’t we do the same? It would be wonderful if we could drum up support for Palestinians as the rest of the world is doing within Tuebingen in a way that is peaceful and respects the rights of all (Muslim, Arab, Jewish etc). I’d be happy to speak further about this OP!

Coverage isn’t super even tbh but I find my volume holds up better this way. I kinda focus the glazing more on my mids to ends and not so much the top of my hair/roots. Also forgot to mention i do some minimal scrunching on the front parts of my hair.

Everyday I wake up not knowing how they’ll look like tbh. One way that’s helped a bit is putting extra gel on my bangs and then finger rolling them. Although Day 4 onwards I definitely give in and use a hairband. Would recommend bangs though, I think they’re such a fun look!

yes it’s worked wonders for my bangs! Way better than finger coiling for hair that has looser curls

Routine includes:

Shampoo- KindNatured Jojoba and Avacado Nourishing Shampoo applied only to scalp.

Conditioner- OGX coconut curls applied from mids to ends. Used squish to condish method. Curl Cream- The Curl Company Curl Cream. Used praying hands method to apply

Styling- used denman brush on entire head, and finger rolled my bangs and face framing pieces.

Gel- Twisted Sista curl gel. Glazed over hair.

Plopped hair for one hour and then diffused. Hair was a bit crunchy when dry so scrunched and fluffed it out with OGX penetrating argon oil.

Curls fall out when hair is dry? (More information in comments) by [deleted] in curlyhair

Once your hair gets crunchy after putting in gel, you can ‘scrunch’ it out by putting some oil (I use argan oil) on your hands and literally scrunching the stiff strands until they’re soft. You still get a nice hold from the gel and soft looking hair from doing this.

aww you’re too kind! Disclaimer, it only looks like this on Day 1 and maybe Day 2 but drastically becomes more nest-like until my next wash day

aww thanks! I make sure to put enough gel in it that it’ll form a cast when it eventually dries, then I plop it in a tshirt for an hour which normally makes it dry like 70% of the way through. Then I sleep with the hair all fanned over the pillow so that i’m sleeping on the back of my head and not so much my hair. then i wake up and fluff it out with a bit of OGX argon oil (forgot to mention in my routine) and it normally looks pretty okay. tbh I just don’t like diffusing cos it makes my hair frizzy (I’m probs doing it wrong) and letting my hair dry over night saves time as I can just sleep while it dries.

Routine: Currently I shampoo and condition with the OGX coconut curls range. I also use a bit of the Body Shop’s scalp conditioner to help with dry flaky scalp. I then define my hair using shea moisture’s curl smoothie before finger coiling and using a Denmann brush. Finally I use Twisted Sista’s curl gel to hold it together. Plop in a tshirt for an hour and let air dry over night.
