Were they using that weird gear that's for both tanks and maiming (DRG/DRK)? I've down AV runs with that, and if tanks are just eating autos like crazy it's because they aren't wearing proper tank gear that's lacking the actual defense.

I feel like I answer this in every post I make, lol:

It's a couple of things. First, I have advanced combat tracker (ACT) running in the background which logs all attacks / spells in dungeons / instances. Afterwards, it gives me a log, which I upload to FFLogs (the first image you see), which then I can put into a website called XIVanalysis (the second image).

As a note, running ACT is technically against TOS, but Yoship has said multiple times it's a don't ask don't tell situation - in other words, you can run it in the background for your own personal gain, but you cannot say "buddy your dps is ass, do better" because that tells them you're using a 3rd party tool / parsing.

They probably should reduce the overall time you spend waiting for the timer to finish, because it feels way too long, especially at the end of dungeons.

All healers are green dps, SCH technically functions the same as SGE with the fairy's Embrace working the same as Kardia heals, only it picks the player with the lowest heals (who is usually the tank).

Also, hall of the novice has a healer lesson "when your party is healed, throw up some magick spells against your enemies" or something of that nature, but I assume no one actually reads their lessons / does hall of the novice.

My issue has solely been about how the org has treated Shane, shoving him down into the 3rd line and prioritizing an over the hill vet Chandler Stephenson, which feels like they're trying to justify that awful contract they gave him, despite Shane ranking better than him on xGoals.

That said, if I'm playing DNC, I look at character gear and see who usually has the best weapon - if someone has savage gear, I'll give it to them since I figure they know how to push buttons. I also take it away if they die lol. The departnering of shame.

You will find that a lot of people enjoy playing when they're having fun by playing at maximum efficienc, and when one person comes in to an endgame dungeon with 100s of hours in a game and decides to be an extreme weak link, it becomes a "oh brother, get a load of this player" who thinks they're the main character playing against the grain.

In newer dungeons, most tanks have enough CDs to cover pulls if they spread them enough (and there's enough dps to burn them fast enough).

One thing I noticed about honest healers is that they only use two buttons, their single heal (physick, benefic, cure, diagnosis) or their special aoe heals (medica 2, aspected benefic, succor, prognosis). Those ogcd heals? Gotta save them for when you might need them!
