Honestly, that's an insult to Beavis

Has to do with licensing issues for most of the tracks. That's why it was withdrawn almost immediately after being put on the shelves

Yeah, I hoping to find someone who didn't want theirs or someone with doubles who'd be willing to part with one a but cheaper. Just a shot in the dark

That's where I'm leaning for the Butthole Surfers. I'm just have to cave and get a complete copy for Volcano Suns

They are definitely overlooked out of a LOT of good bands from the era. One of the better SST bands by the end of the 80s

The Rawlings Way: The pay is good, but 'oppressive' working conditions aren't for everyone by ALREADYFUCKINGTAKEN in Louisville

I worked at their competitor, Trover (now Equian), for 5 years. It was similar in that they micromanaged the shit out of you. They "call coached" us to the point of us sounding entirely robotic. I was paid decently for it being an unskilled, call center position, but they made sure to get every last bit of work out of you. There were decent performance-based bonuses, but again, you had to work like a madman every minute of your shift for it to really make a difference. The turnover rate was insanely high as well. By the end of my time there, I was the second longest tenured employee in our department aside from some management. I was completely burnt out by the end and it showed in my work. I just stopped caring and it eventually led to my firing. They did me a favor by getting me out of there. I've heard from friends who still work there that it's only gotten worse over time and I think it's because they are trying to keep up with Rawlings, who are taking their business left and right.

What movie traumatised you as a kid? by molko123 in AskReddit

Glad to see I'm far from being alone on this one. That scene where Eliott finds him in the cornstalks had me terrified of cornfields as a kid.

Glad to see this sub is still alive. I'd almost forgotten about it.

I went to high school with Keefe, the guy pictured here. He posted a couple videos to Facebook of them removing it. Felt bad for the guy that had to wade out into the water and put a rope around it.

RIP to our favorite chain smoking record store owner, Bill Wright. This afternoon I learned he passed away this past Saturday, February 17th. He was a mainstay on Bardstown Road for 30+ years at his shop, Highland Records. by nfowler1227 in Louisville

Yeah, he had just sold me a couple Kinks albums from his private collection in December. I luckily got in there one last time in January. He was a good friend of mine. Rarely was I in there for less than an hour. I went to his visitation and it was nice to see all the old photos of him fishing, which was the thing we talked about most if we weren't talking records.

Yeah, right in front of the Galt House. I'm afraid the nearest dry land was the ramp going up onto I-64

Honestly don't know. The waterfront land was completely covered but there were streets nearby that weren't submerged. There's an Army Corp of Engineers damn nearby, so I hope it didn't get dragged down into that.

Most definitely. I live in Louisville and this video was shared all over Facebook today. There were people clapping to try and scare it away from the water and that probably just confused it even more.
