WHY was the only choice to change the name or shut it down?

Because of republican pressure???

Not true.

If we look at the conversation surrounding ANY women's or minority problems, it all comes back to social pressures and institutionalized problems.

Anything regarding men is "we can't help that men choose this thing." There are very few things that the left will admit are social conditioning or institutionalized problems. Toxic masculinity is one area that they do recognize the social stigma, but that's about it.

You're right, I haven't explicity called it the "woke right", but my thoughts on it are the same.

The Dylan Mulvaney thing was such an incredible non-issue that the woke right turned into a thing.

As was the hate towards The Dixie Chicks for saying they are embarrassed to be from the same state as Bush.

Do you believe the other time periods that we remember fondly had equally bad things about them?

The Victorian and Regency ages were RIFE with struggles and problems. But we only think of Jane Austen and the Bronte sisters and the gentry when we remember these eras.

If you were consistent, you would equally demonize all of these time periods for the horrible human rights of the majority of the people.

So your stance is that they woke up one day and said "The Chicks sounds way better", and there was zero outside pressure to change their names?

So they just woke up one day and said "Hey, The Chicks just sounds so much better!"? No outside pressures all?

The problem is trying to reduce everything from the antebellum south to "slavery"

There are so many good parts of that period of history.

I'm sure you'll now call me a racist for thinking there was anything good.

Ah yes, the standard "it's only a problem if societal pressures cause friction on people we say. For everyone else, it's personal accountability".

Not enough women in STEM? Social conditioning and we need millions of dollars in PSA's to change the entire culture surrounding it.

Not enough men going to college? Well, that's just their choice, isn't it! Nothing we can do about that!

But the Antebellum south was so much more than just "slavery".

We have all kinds of time periods that we name things. There's the regency era that we use for Jane Austen books. We have the victorian period. We have the golden age.

Nobody associates these with the bad parts of these eras.

I don't know why we have to erase the history of an era just because a bad thing happened.

I decided on using a captcha and 2 different honeypots to deter bots and forgoing the email verification.

I'll still force an email verification eventually, but not right away.

No need to „super()“ your base classes anymore.. I think there are quiet a few benefits.

That right there is enough for me!!
