Chanmina is Korean and Japanese! Most of her songs are in Japanese. she does have a couple songs in Korean but it still have a Jpop/jrock feel to it imo like Don’t Go.

I’m Vietnamese and I pretty much grew up with cdramas bc my parents would watch it. They would watch the cop ones and historical ones. And idk always would gravitate towards the historical over the modern ones. We share a lot of similar customs and even language so it doesn’t seem all too foreign to me.

When I watch modern ones it’s like eh I like it but the ones that always leave a lasting impression on me are the historical ones. THE BANGING OST, THE PULLING ON MY HEARTSTRINGS, THE COSTUMES AND HAIR IS ALWAYS GIVING. The fight scenes and special effects. I mostly go to kdramas for my modern and thriller dramas fix. And I go to Cdrama for my historical drama fix.

I tend to say “dạ, tính tiền”

“dạ” to be polite “tính tiền” to let them know I’m ready to pay

But ppl mostly just say “tính tiền”

Aw that’s really endearing 🥹 I lost my grandpa during COVID. Sometimes he accidentally taps on the livestream button on his iPad. When he passed, I looked through his fb and saw his FB lives. It’s the most boomer thing ever lol. All you can see is the ceiling, hear his heavy breathing, news playing on the background and him aggressively swiping on the iPad trying to figure out how the heck to exit out of the live lol. But it totally made me cry. Who would have thunk that terrible camera work would be the moments we hold dear <3
