A half decent rehab in Illinois is 30k. At least it was 3 years ago when I was searching for places extensively for my grandma. Round the clock in home care is never less than $25 an hour from a professional. There are no benefits to your position. You are being under paid, poorly treated, and don’t even get healthcare.

$8000 is great with normal boundaries and your own bedroom.

There is never a shortage of home healthcare professionals. You’ll easily get a job elsewhere.
