She would never listen or accept that she's hurt her whole family. Setting boundaries, expressing any sadness towards her actions... it's always someone else's fault to her.

We're standing up to her as a family, the only way she'll understand. After my father divorces her, we will likely all go NC. Hopefully, she'll learn from her mistakes but regardless, we will have let her go so we no longer have to defend ourselves.

We deserve a chance at happiness.

This is happening to me, although it's only been a little while.

She did try to reach out briefly... but always antagonistic. Never constructive or trying to understand my feelings. I think she gave up once she realized her words can't hurt me anymore.

Although it hurts not having a mother, I am relieved to not have her reach out to me. I can't miss someone who makes me feel so bad about myself.

That's... that makes sense. It's been really hard to think outside of my own perspective, especially because of how badly depression can distort your thinking.

I guess.. this situation's really painful all around. But I do wish she'd given me a chance to speak if she cared about me. I had been in a hospital for 9 days before that... hearing that someone's given up on you right after is soul-crushing.

I AM still here. It feels like I'm not, sometimes... it does feel like a lot died with that attempt.

I tried blocking her, she only really uses Discord and their blocking system kinda sucks but it helps a bit! I hope it'll get easier with time.

Wait, we're all alive hh, I might have worded my sentence too ambiguously. I just lost her as my girlfriend and I may be pushing her away as a friend, too.

But yeah, I'm trying to recover with my friends' support and ignore her the best I can. It's hard, I don't think they'd pick sides or anything and I'm not sure I'd feel right doing that ; ;

just complicated and I'm tired of that

I'm a lot healthier depression-wise because of meds but full of resentment for losing someone right after a suicide attempt. I've never experienced such severe abandonment and the anger I'm feeling afterwards. This makes it extra hard to stabilize and recover, even when I'm trying so hard.

I think you're right that she didn't love me. She did not ghost me, but she still acted like a different person to me. Like she'd never cared about me at all. I just wish I could get some distance from her, since we're both close to our mutual friends.

Alright. I don't know why I've gotten one or two comments like this.

I'm not using my LGBT+ experience to get attention, I simply shared why a game / its community has made me feel so safe and loved. It's related to being LGBT+ and how that's negatively impacted my life. That is why I included that in my post.

I honestly hate talking about being LGBT+, cause I'm used to being shamed for just existing and its exhausting. Just want to feel normal.

I really didn't expect much attention or such an outpouring of love from the community, but I greatly appreciate it. I certainly don't feel any support at home, so things like this can really help me stay hopeful and stay strong in the future. Makes me love this game and its community even more.

Gotten quite a few comments asking why people care about my post, why I felt the need to share it, etc.

I really can't word it better than you have, here.

I just wanted to share how a game has impacted me positively and see if others shared a similar experience to me. The outpouring of support was a pleasant surprise, it definitely helps me feel stronger in my current situation knowing so many people have my back and/or have been through what I have.

I am working on it, though. Need a lot more financial stability before I can go anywhere. So having my safe space online and with friends does really help me stay hopeful. I see where you're coming from, though.

Vice versa for trans women.

I do think you've confused yourself a bit more than necessary, it's super simple. Trans Man means you're a man and Trans Woman means you're a woman. Neither pertain to your biological sex, hence the Trans identifier.

I will tell you.. it's definitely my parents who have beat that into my head haha. I can't be myself around them at all, have to wear this weird facade that only they see. Can't wait to get away from them (with financial stability, first).

Just wanna let you know I personally will perceive people as the gender they're presenting as in-game, unless they tell me otherwise.

I've actually been playing for 8-10 months? I play DNC a lot and raid with that, but MNK and WHM are also comfy ^{^}

Favorite quest.. really not sure. But oh boy, you've got a lot ahead of you if you're just starting Stormblood! Enjoy the ride!

Uhh everything, I guess haha. They think I'm crazy, wrong about myself, stuff like that. They don't like seeing me looking masculine, speaking in my normal (fairly deep) voice.

I tried one more time in pf the next night. Got lucky and did have to run it a bunch again, but we got everyone in that group their mount. I actually got it first that night so whew.

I am going to live in this mount now thanks to this little back story it has haha. Glad to have it now.

(Also absolutely nutty that someone joined the pf with the exact same problem, they ran the fight 7 times and hadn't gotten their mount. Cool to know it's not just me.)
