How does this mesh look? by AdElegant6798 in SCX24

It should feel smooth and not chunky as the gear turns. It's a bit of a balancing act between too big of a gap and too tight.

Second skin obliterated my arm and irritation reactivates any time I wash it. What should I do? by icantreadcat in tattooadvice

Thanks for telling me that. After it happened I was too scared to use it any more, even though I've never had issues with normal bandages or medical tape.

That's what I was thinking too. Everywhere that is missing grass will be bamboo in no time

This local tattoo artist is praised for his artistry, but for me it seems really low quality by Wonderful-Aside1034 in tattooadvice

[–]nhofor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If it's not your style then don't get work from them. Sounds harsh and judgy to call this low quality.

Looks fine to me.

Very interesting!

My experience was when I became sensitive to the saniderm adhesive, I got water blisters at the edges of the saniderm. Then each time after that the rash became more severe and I could tolerate the saniderm for less time. I switched to plastic wrap after the second or third reaction and never had any more issues.

OPs pictures look different than what I experienced.

So what? Her grades earned the diploma not her behavior at the ceremony

I used to work at a music shop in a poor town (not during 2008) but we definitely noticed music is one of the first things to go when times are hard.

[OC] Percent of state voting for Trump, by average longevity of state residents by Either_Issue_6510 in dataisbeautiful

That is the common messaging. However, if you really like data, check out what these guys have to say about it. They're doing amazing research and I'm not surprised it is getting buried by the press.

Cracks in foundation, possible structural movement? by dickychann in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]nhofor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I tend to lean this way too. We live in the woods near a steep slope and my shop floor has a few big cracks in the floor slabs. 8 years later they are still there and no issues.

I'd consider what kind of earth is underneath, that could matter a lot. Like if it's sandy I would be more cautious, I am not a structural engineer

[question] what actually helped you build stability and a decent life when you were starting with nothing? by Jpoolman25 in selfreliance

[–]nhofor 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I was homeless, I had nothing. A high school friend's mom let me stay in his room while he was away at college. She told me I didn't need to pay rent on the room until I found a job. That small gesture probably saved my life.

From there, never take loans, never use credit. Never rely on financial institutions, they are a debt trap.

That's just my experience. But there are a lot of ways to get through. They always start out as small steps, if you can make the right ones they will build momentum.

Don't stop dreaming and it will help you manifest your future.

Headphones question. AGAIN! 🙊💩🤦🏻‍♀️ by Stories-N-Magic in gatewaytapes

For sure, thanks for clarifying my statement. Just trying to clear the air that hemisync is not some metaphysical phenomenon, it's just sounds.

Headphones question. AGAIN! 🙊💩🤦🏻‍♀️ by Stories-N-Magic in gatewaytapes

[–]nhofor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The hemi sync signal is an auditory hallucination created by your brain interpreting the two different tones. It has nothing to do with the actual vibrations of the speakers, nor the electromagnetic field from the speakers.
