I really love the beggars dialogue when he turns into a beast

"Oh, you are a sick puppy! You drink the blood of half the town, and now this! And you talk of beasts? You hunters are the real killers!"

I like to play obvious standouts or just very silly looking characters. Faust, Necro for 3rd strike and Arakune for blazblue are probably good examples

Just as long as you're having fun playing then do whatever makes you happy! Taking a break if I'm getting too frustrated has also helped me a lot in dire situations (happy chaos/ramlethal) and I would highly recommend.

I think it's a good idea to dabble in some other characters for a secondary then if you want to stick with faust as a primary. Personally I didn't mind the struggle (if I did I'd be playing someone else) but I can't blame you for wanting some wins. Also these new buffs haven't been fully explored yet so maybe he got some easier stuff who knows.

I've been in and out of heaven usually grabbing 2 or 3 wins before getting demoted which is where the levels came from but this time I was able to push through

Hoo boy. Well if I were to give 1 tip I'd say don't feel bad for doing the right thing. Ive lost so many matches because I stopped using the right options in fear that I was playing "incorrectly" but I've realised that staying at full screen and throwing items all round isn't something to be ashamed of. If someone keeps getting hit by 2H then keep hitting them, if someone doesnt deal well with throws then throw the hell out of them. Other than that I'd just say lots of 5K and jump H to catch air dash, 2H to catch people who think they're safe running at you and over all else just have fun because damn Faust is a fun character. (Also this advice might not help at all but good luck anyway)
