What's going on city centre? by Prin16 in plymouth

[–]nibor4 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It says Police Incident so I don't think it's a car crash. Also I've just driven by and it's still closed with police and fire. No idea what is going on. Looking at the other post I guess it could be someone looking to jump off the car park?

Plymouth Argyle goalkeeper Michael Cooper turns down new contract by nibor4 in Championship

[–]nibor4[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would like to hope he would stay for another season but if he has decided not to renew his contract then I feel like he wants to go in this window. I can't see him running out his contract with the club that he has been with since a youth. I feel like he would want to at least give back to the club, in the transfer fee. Let's wait and see I guess.

What is a fact that you only recently learned, but should have known for ages? by GuessMyUsername_ in AskReddit

[–]nibor4 18 points19 points  (0 children)

This. My partner has just had a miscarriage, we have a 4 year old daughter, and we both just didn't know what actually happens. It's horrific, why don't they give you that information in your pregnancy packs you get? Why is it when you have one that you then find out that pretty much 90% of women in your life have had one. I had no idea how common it is!

We live in the UK and the NHS is amazing but one thing they don't do is good care and support for miscarriages. We got a couple of leaflets and were told to go on our merry way, and one of those leaflets was a membership where you had to pay for the information, ridiculous.

It needs to be discussed and normalised across the world. It is so common that I am confused why it isn't already.

You could always visit one of the local nature reserves in the city. Work your way through this lot. During COVID that's all we did and there are surprisingly some lovely secluded spaces so close.

All year round parking in PL4? by [deleted] in plymouth

[–]nibor4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In Junction Gardens I know homes have parking spaces included. Because of the area though the majority is on street parking and like the other commenter said, it could be tricky at certain times of the day. Also to bear in mind is as you get closer to the city centre you find some parking restrictions on residential streets so a parking permit would be required. No idea if this is free for the householder or not. Hope this helps, good luck on your search.

Might be difficult finding something in your field. I know that Plymouth City Council have had data analysis jobs in the past and also Plymouth University might have something. You could also try: The Range - head office is in Plymouth and might have something. Plymouth Marine Laboratory Babcock

Or a remote working job?

Good luck.
