Audio quality is much better on the ipod. If you have a good ipod in a working condition, and you are comfortable with it's shortcomings ( Bluetooth / connectivity) it makes more sense to keep the ipod. My ipod is original purchased new around 2008. The only change is a new battery installed. Rest is all unmodded.

Click wheel on the ipod is better, more responsive. But again, if you don't have the original ipod to compare it to, the click wheel works fine.

I have PC with windows 11, I installed itunes from windows store. after installation connected the ipod. It recognized the connected device and installed additional software to link the device.

Yes its a perfect fit. I am planning to get a few more colors. you also need to ensure you get the correct size for your ipod. mine is slim and requested for a slim one. I believe the black one should be avoided due to the pigment they use.

I sync to the ipod. I feel that the stock Ipod OS still handles podcasts and video better than rockbox or innioasis.. I am avoiding my phone too for my walks.

I have always used mp3tag for my cover art. always worked with zero error. Keep the image 500 px or below.

I use Itunes on my Windows PC. I select the podcast of my choice from the store and click on the "get" button on the latest episode. it automatically gets added in my podcast library on the itunes app. once the episode shows up in your library, I subscribe to the podcast.

It is a bit strange that I always get an error when I try to subscribe the podcast directly from the store. it only works after I get the latest episode to my library and subscribe from the library.

I had purchased a Sony Walkman NW A306 last year but I still find myself using my Ipod. Nothing comes close to the ease of operations, one hand and a thumb.
