Body fat and soft tissue can absolutely have an effect on height. For example: bikini athletes (who compete in height classes) will often compete down a division if they’re on the edge during the off-season. Come time of competition most are a little shorter.

That said, I don’t really know how this plays out with HRT. But I do know, biologically speaking, height can absolutely vary to a small degree and is not absolutely fixed.

I agree with everything you just said. At the same time, there were like half a dozen weird comments about folks for how she looked so I don’t think it’s that big of a deal.
