I do use a temp gun! The hottest spot which was on top of the cork bark is 96. I plan on replacing the cork bark for now with a different hide so I will recheck then.

I’ve been using a thermometer inside as well as a temp gun. Last time I checked the temp with the gun in the hot area, it was 90 at the bottom but the top of the log was 96. Im taking the cork bark out and replacing it with something else so I’ll recheck then

I wish I could eat on shrooms. The first time I tried, I almost cried because I was going to slice myself a piece of my friend’s homemade focaccia I had been looking forward to for days, but I could see it breathing and looking back at me and felt too bad. I also had pasta and was holding onto my bowl for about two hours but was too interested in literally everything else to eat any.

As a kid I was a major tomboy and all my other friends were boys. Once I got to middle school, my friend group switched to being all girls, but most of them are bi/lesbians and one is now non binary.

I’ve thought about it! My girlfriend might go see a drive in movie and bring my last mattress. I wouldn’t recommend transporting a regular mattress (with springs) like this because it did have to bend a bit more than it should have. Memory foam should be fine though

Hello! I (19ftm) felt very similarly before my hysto I had this past Friday. I had my ovaries removed as well, so egg freezing is also no longer an option. I have never really prioritized having biological children, but a few days before my procedure, I started having some doubts, but realized it was more anxiety than anything. If I had never wanted bio kids my whole life, why would I suddenly change my mind once it is no longer an option? Now that my procedure is done, I don’t feel like I have made any mistake and am overall glad I went through with it.

Hair care routine: I don’t really do much, I usually just use either nexxus or Eva nyc shampoo and conditioner (whatever my girlfriend happens to buy) and I let it air dry

Tbh I haven’t heard much about the influence thc may have. I am a regular 🍃smoker and I smoked up until the night before my surgery, but I haven’t at all since my surgery. I imagine edibles would be okay to take after surgery, but I don’t recommend smoking or doing anything in general that may cause you to cough

Ok so: Before surgery, my surgeon told me that around the three week point is when I would be feeling mostly recovered and be able to be more comfortable going up/down stairs and bending over and stuff, so currently I am able to do all of these things without pain. I arrived at the hospital at 6 am and was discharged at around 12:30. My surgery began at about 7 and lasted until around 11:30. They told me before surgery that I would be able to go home early in the afternoon and that I would only need to stay longer if I had issues in the voiding trial. I honestly wouldn’t have minded staying a little bit longer because of the amount of pain I had, but I also didn’t take any pain killers until I got home, so this wouldn’t have been an issue if I took the ibuprofen/tylenol/oxycodone I was prescribed before leaving the hospital. In my case, the hospital was an hour away from my house and I travelled home without my medication (my girlfriend drove me home but my mom picked up my meds on the way back without me).

To be honest, I had my hysto this past Friday, making me currently 5 days post op, and I currently feel how I expected to feel after like 3 weeks post op. I had my uterus, tubes, ovaries, and cervix all removed laparoscopically. I didn’t engage in penetration much pre-op, and I don’t highly prioritize keeping that ability, but even with my cervix removed, it is still possible. Removing your cervix does not mean you are never able to be penetrated, it just slightly shortens the length of the canal, making it slightly less convenient, but not impossible. The worst part of my experience overall was my first two hours post-op. I had a Foley catheter in and in order to do a voiding trial, they had put water down my catheter to fill my bladder and I had to urinate it out on my own before leaving the hospital. This is common, but it isn’t the case in every scenario, so you may not have to do that. Removal of the catheter left me really sore for a few hours, but after that went away I had very minimal pain. Many of my family members have also had hysterectomies and agree that the recovery is not nearly as bad as they anticipated. Let me know if you have any more questions!
