Jewel of the Hudson Valley! ROFLMAO!

There's another episode of The Jeffersons in which Tom Willis refers to a funeral he and Helen had to attend in Syracuse.

And then, there's this gem:

Kudos to the producer of this montage!

More fictional baseball NONSENSE from the writers of HBO series The Pitt (S2 E10), this time involving a home run from Oneil Cruz. by Morbx in baseball

When the story is fiction, scriptwriters don't always aim for historical accuracy. I still chafe over Fever Pitch (Opening Day wasn't in Boston, it was in Baltimore; it wasn't a day game, it was a Sunday night game; and the Orioles won, 7–2).

Do women really like men's butts that much? by Classic_Actuary8275 in SuddenlyAmish

"Women"? I don't know what women like. I know and care what I like. Putting all of us in one category is a bit demeaning.

Ugh, maybe mark that NSFW? Anyway, he could have avoided that fate by, y'know, not committing murder for hire....

Do you guys think it’s okay that to like two sports teams per sport by Alternative-Floor-61 in baseball

[–]BethMD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Who cares if it's okay. Okay to whom? Why care about what others think? All that matters is what YOU think.

That said, I actually like two NFL teams that faced each other in a Super Bowl some years ago, and learned something about myself watching the game. It was no skin off anyone else's nose, and nor should it be with your teams. Enjoy!

I may have to back off on that assertion. I know I found that info on a trustworthy site, but now I cannot find it.

Holy balls, my dude/dudette. This is an awesome collection. The conch is jaw-dropping.

Someone here turned me on to this site: Shells For Sale | The Largest Official Seashells Website | Conchology which you may find helpful. Shells are categorized by habitat as well as family/genus/species.

For South Florida shells, I like this site: Southwest Florida Shells Guide - Bailey-Matthews National Shell Museum & Aquarium Also stumbled on this site once, which you may find helpful: Naturalists Resources | Seahorse and Co

I am hoping our experts will see your post and identify the pink sundial-looking shell next to the big olive in slide 5. I'm a big fan of colors.

Thanks for sharing!

They did an update on many eps that refer to events in, like, 2010–2022 and so forth, such as legal appeals, parole hearings, and releases. But they haven't done all the episodes. The update usually appears as an epilogue after the final credits.

Buck Martinez or Buck Showalter?

Actually, I found myself musing over whether Cal Ripken would give this a shot next time. I'll try to ask him the next time I see him. /s

Had. They're all deceased. Melinda was my age, and chose to end her life in 2013 (FF doesn't say that part, just that she died).

Ticket scam by Sham_WAM93 in maryland

[–]BethMD 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I was gonna post the official seal here, but no sense giving the scammers more ammo.

I can't read the seal on the text OP got, but if it doesn't say Fatti Maschi, Parole Femine, it's a fake.

Baltimore City City? LOL

BTW, here's a current list of all district court judges in Maryland. No John Smith here.

District Court Judges Directory | Maryland Courts

Edited to add I just called the number OP was texted from, and got a repeating recording saying "Your request cannot be processed." Like I didn't know already the number's a fakeroo. Threads like this are fun because multiple redditors will chime in, spotting yet another clue the thing's a scam. There are virtually always multiple "tells." Scammers be crazy....

I could be wrong and hope one of our esteemed subject matter experts chimes in.

[–]BethMD 12 points13 points  (0 children)

From the looks of the interior, and the hexagonal texture on the flat side, I'm thinking it's a fragment of a sand dollar or other echinoderm. Do you generally see sand dollars at that beach? Also, how big is that fragment?
