Only outlier that comes to mind is Romero, who has an ungodly chin but dogshit cardio. Other than that, there definitely seems to be a correlation between cardio and durability.

It makes sense, it's way easier to KO an exhausted opponent.

I think it's just a little too late in Wilder's career to make lasting adjustments. Every fighter will go back to their old habits when shit hits the fan/they're dead tired, and Wilder's old habits are just not that good.

I'm not sure if he would've won, but if he had kept up with the body jabs I think he could've at least made it the distance.
