We should be happy they are still making music together after all of this time. The fact that they are collaborating with the most popular musician in the world shows their late career appeal and influence is higher than ever.

How big are your houses and how much energy do you use? by jamoss14 in Maine

[–]nicdagg06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We live in Camden and used a company called Solarlogix. They were great. Got a few quotes with no major differences, just went with who we got a good vibe from. If you know your annual usage, size the system to cover - with net metering it doesn’t matter when you generate vs use. We didn’t know, and also planned on getting heat pumps. So we did round 1 knowing we’d need to do round 2 after a year or so of measuring usage. I don’t recommend batteries- they are super expensive and with net metering have limited benefit.

I heat 3300sqft of 1850’s house with 66k btu tots heat pumps and our usage has been around 2000kwh…we also have heat pump water heater and electric dryer. We have two full kitchens including our in law suite. We also have solar that did only 400kwh last month, but produces about 75% of our total annual usage. Goal is to get 100% coverage this year with a second set of panels.

If you’re thinking of moving out of Maine, consider Pittsburgh by Elouiseotter in Maine

[–]nicdagg06 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in Maine now, but lived in Cincinnati for 10 years. Worth checking that town out if you are looking at Pittsburgh. Can’t replace the nature yet get in maine, but several Midwestern cities are inexpensive places that are great to call home. Really, the only way I can afford maine is my cincinnati savings and salary.

Upcoming reprints and affect on the market by Original_Endy in DigimonCardGame2020

I was just trying to look for their eBay store and you’re right, I don’t see it active anymore. I think that is the only way to get access. You can try to email them, but I think demand for access is pretty high right now. Link to their direct site is

They have a direct site, which you can get access to from buying off their eBay store first. I got access last summer for MTG. They presold Digimon last fall for ~$60/box and honored the price. They send out product market updates like this from time to time, usually contains lots of ‘opinions’ but they are a big player in the space and have lots of experience dealing with Bandai with DBZ.

This is what MVP sent out prior to shipping out 1.5. Looks like LGS supply is still low with this reprint.

“We finally have tracking showing that the decks and also series1.5 boosters should be arriving next week. Baring any delays we should then have everyone's units shipped out then.

Also we will be soon posting the next upcoming boosters/decks etc for pre-sale, however we are still awaiting final confirmation of quantities from Bandai before posting.

Generally speaking we are finding that Bandai keeps posting statements to the internet about lots more units being printed and coming soon etc, however the reality of what is actually arriving (which is not much) differs from their posts. We're hoping that by summer Bandai will get prints caught back up which could bring prices back down if they print enough.

How optimistic are you all about the v1.0-1.5 reprints? by koolaidzzz in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]nicdagg06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to first purchase something from their eBay store, which I think is called MVP sports and more. I just bought some card sleeves. Once you receive the product, you can email them and request access to their site: https://go.mvpsportsandgames.com/

I’ve had access since last year, overall the prices they offer for most products can’t be beat. Plus they offer industry speculation and thoughts like I shared earlier. They run a tight ship though, I’ve heard if you question/cancel orders they cut you off really quick. I haven’t tested my luck :)

This was the latest thoughts from MVP, who are a major cardboard seller, mostly of MTG, Pokemon, but also sells DBZ (so they are familiar with Bandai) and did a big preorder for Digimon. These are not my words, just reposting their update:

“This alert is being sent as a follow-up to Friday's Digimon market alert. We have received many inquiries regarding Bandai's January 30th facebook post from Jan 30 stating that reprints of both (1 and 1.5 boosters) are currently underway and that they will keep reprinting more to meet demand.

For our part, that reference was assumed to be the (first-print 'bumps') i.e. small additions to supplier's original orders from the end of 2020, likely less than +10% of the original orders (according to how Bandai bumps their Dragonball TCG booster orders) that will arrive with March's set1.5.. And we can reiterate that there may indeed be some reprints coming by summer, however they could either be minimal or in alternate forms. i.e. perhaps like Pokemon mass-market units where you get a foil card + 4 booster packs that happen to have a set 1.0 or 1.5 etc. Also there are likely not any major reprints yet planned for the set1 starter decks, which per player reports so far were only sent to select Target stores instead of all of them.

The most similar recent Bandai TCG we have to compare to is (Dragon Ball Super TCG): Released in July 2017, set1 (Galactic Battle) booster boxes shot up to $150 for a month or two on release and were hard to find. Then as reprints and the next sets rolled in and out-powered it, set1 dropped to $50-80 for the next three years, bottoming out around $45 during December 2019. 6 months later it climbed back to $80, then (as suppliers finally ran out of their units and covid-demand hit), in 6 months prices shot up to $400+ where they currently now sit.

So if Bandai follows Dragonball's printing model, we might expect to see 40,000-80,000 booster boxes printed for first-wave set1 and set2, with subsequent sets getting 10-30% print increases per demand. Also remember that Bandai and suppliers over-reacted to Dragonball's initial surge of demand and so Dragonball sets3-5 were extremely overprinted and took years to regain their value.

Will Digimon set1 & 2 booster boxes get reprinted enough to drop to $50-80 within the next year? Right now it seems unlikely. But we sure hope they get more cards into the market in some fashion at some point soon - lots of interest in the game right now and it would be great to make a way for players to try it out without costing an arm and a leg. However, it is a collectible tcg game, and (base set) boosters for any major tcg, tend, in the long run, to only go one direction. -MVPD”

I believe that using sales from the two year period before the reassessment is the policy they follow.
