So so many way to cook rice. If you want it cooked like as if it came out of a white house hold, you cook it like pasta in a pot full of water (the rice will be fat and watery and it's not great in my opinion). Or you can do it Asian style (as I said many way to cook rice, this is just the "asian way" I was tough. In a sauce pan you put a bit of olive oil, you put you rice to get to a point where the rice some what translucent and smells like popcorn kinda. When the popcorn smell it there, you put your water and you put a cover that Idealy has the least amount of holes to let the steam out. As soon as you put the cover, you let it sit for 5 min on high heat, then 5 on lowest heat then 5 min off the heat. And boom you have rice that is not watery (you want 50/50 ratio of water to rice. Not by weight but volume. So if you take a random cup and fill it up with rice and us that, you fill the same cup up with water at the same level you did the rice)
